ya i'm new on the boards but i noticed there wasnt a montgomery county group meeting up for the sonic meet. i figure we could start one right? :mrgreen: lemme know what u guys think!

we're meeting at the super wawa on 202/63 (dekalb pike and welsh road) at 9:15 am. we will be leaving wawa at as soon as our list arives, but definitly before 9:30. we will then be heading to the bucks county meeting spot (http://www.tristatetuners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=49198) to catch the bucks caravan.

Even though i'm in Bucks County, I think meeting up with the Montco bunch might work out for me since we could all just head down 309 and catch the turnpike in Fort Washington instead of driving out of the way down to Langhorne/Bensalem to meet the Bucks bunch. I nominate Best Buy/Borders parking lot.

ok so here is the mothereffing abridged version because this forum platform sucks...


it'd be kinda stupid for us to meet the bucks crew at their location because we'd be backtracking 1/2 hr to the east. in other words, we'd have to meet at Borders at 9:15am to make it to Sonic by Noon. here is the map of that route

I'd only be about an hour and 15 minutes from Borders to Sonic. we could leave Borders at 10:45 and make it to sonic by noon. We could also possibly intercept the bucks crew at the fort washington interchange. Here is a map of that route

I honestly don't care what we do because driving is driving, and if it's nice out, then I'll drive all day. But then again, gas is going back up again so...maybe not.

lets get ahold of them some how and see what time there plannig on getting on the road, since there meeting up in the bensalem area there probably hitting the trnpke at the rt1/ philly interchange. from borders to the trnpke is like 15 min and its about 20 or so from rt1/philly intrchg to ft wash. worse comes to worse we park on the shoulder and wait for them to pass and then just hop in with them lol we got time to figure this out...but i might of missed this but whats the target time to be at borders?

Washington exit..we will try and stay as close as possible and wait for people but you really with toll booths and traffic lights so i advise you to print your own directions. If i knew how to copy and paste the google maps link i would.

Haha u suck. At 40+ cruising at 3k my car shuts up pretty good. The only time will be heard is pulling out off toll booths, merging, or having to go above 4k haha... I'll be good I promise.

Plus I want to take footage so middle or rear of the pack will be ok. Maybe one shot from the front or of people going by in the passing lane.

You guys would be better off going to the turnpike and then waiting on the shoulder for us to pass. That way you avoid all of the traffic lights and can get right there!

Thats my only issue. I think it would get some unwanted attention if we are sitting on the side of the road. I still think our original idea is good, we just need to be prompt in leaving so that we get there in time to leave with the group.

i have a cai too and hit some pretty big puddles....if theres a deep puddle on the road chances are you can avoid it enough

now im not an expert by any means but as far as i know, if you suck up even a little bit of water, it can/will do damage. a significant amount would hydrolock the engine.

pitcher of water in at idle to hydrolock... I dunno... Combustion = evaporation except in extreme cases. With newer cars there is less of a chance of hydrolock I would think.

Once I dropped the car on coilovers, my car was sitting too low for me to be comfortable with... swapped it out with a Blitz SUS from JSC.

i did mine without ever even trying it....i was like i hope to god i dont suck at it and destroy my wheel....its really not that hard....if you rush or spray one spot to hard it might **** up a little bit so you just gotta take your time....i messed up a spot or two and you cant even tell....

yeah i had to use the intersection. and find an address. The wawa's address is wrong. It puts you about a half a mile away. If you go to 593 dekalb pike you will be sitting on the commerce where it meets 309.

Technically its 4 diffent roads that meet there. I had to find the right roads that mapquest/google maps consider to be that point. if i had a gps i would have done that. Mostly every one knows where it is anywhere.


The map i posted is correct it just took me a while because of the address is not where it shows up on the map.

swapped wheels....of course there was a nail in my good tire...but for the first time ever it wasnt in a place where i couldnt fix it....now with tread when i hit the gas my car kind of pulls lol.

tried to fix the gauges since the lights didn't work, but it was a waste of time and now i have the original gauges back in, since my after market controls went to **** and weren't even worth fixing if they were just gonna break again....im not sure how i feel about the stock ones but as long as i can see my speed at night time now were good to go!.

chris. in your first post the link to get to the bucks county spot is broken. I also posted a the link to the map of the route were taking to get to sonic like two pages back. could you post that link and ask everyone to print out a copy. Justin approved of the route and with a map its just a saftey if people get lost.

and note that we have to take the turnpike from ft washington to get to the bucks exit. i think its like $1.50? and most likely everyone will meet up in the backlot behind wawa or aroudn the edges of the gas pumps but justin and i will be there super early!
