Odd Question about Speed Limits

I have a question regarding speed limits on unposted roads.

Lets say I turn onto a road and there aren't any speed limit signs for about 5 miles. What, if any, laws are there to stipulate what the speed limit is?

Unposted residential streets 25 mph
