it has a JNZ built trans ,act 2600, and act street disc all of which have around 2000 miles on it

I knew it was this car but didn't get a chance to get the pics of it up. Very nice car and i met the owner who built the majority of it ad he was a real nice guy. I picked a part up off this car and was about to buy the turbo setup but he ended up keeping it. Not trying to start anything but i don't know when this car ran a 10 sec pass.

honestly man, reason DSMs are parted out is because people will never get what they put into it as the car sits. no matter how clean the DSM is it will be hard to get 5000 for it just because its a DSM. its a shame that it happens because these cars are truly great and are becoming very scarce to find. i really hope you get what you want for it, but unfortunately in the world of DSMs if you have a 1G and are asking more than 5,000 for it you are better off parting it. seen it happen to way to many friends with really nice DSMs :(

Yeah, alot of it is Auto Loan's are only good for bb, and 85 is def not bb. I would say with those mods and how clean I've heard it was its worth it, but most people interested in DSMs wouldn't have that cash laying around. (Personal Loans ftw)

bump. honestly, with that setup and the boot high enough i think it could get in the 11's. those motors can handle 25psi with the factory forged internals given its got some really nice tires and some race gas.

bump for a nice car. It does suck that most people dont like putting out the cash for a nice 1g. Wanna know the best way to make a sale? Get a ebay t4 manifold and a big ass turbo and claim it runs 9s... lol trust me every kid in town will flaunt the fact of how big there turbo is and not race it. Most people wont put out cash unless its like a turn key proven low 10 second car or even 9s... then it makes it alot easier

Financing a car that is almost 18 years old is not the best idea. Most banks will not give you more then the book value on the car. Banks like Capitol One have been getting screwed lately by kids who are getting 7k loans for cars that only have a book value of 1k. When the borrower decides to default on his/her loan, the bank has no recourse. Meaning, they will not come and try to repo an 18 year old dsm that has the motor and tranny on the garage floor and the rest of the car on jackstands. It basically becomes a write-off for the bank. From what I have read recently Capitol One no longer hands out the free-money-for-older-car-loans.

Very clean car, I saw it around when the PO owned it. Best bet is to take it to the track and run a number with it or get it on a dyno and actually tune it. You likely won't run in the 10's but at least you'll have some proof that the car performs. And with the rough tune you say you have now it probably feels fast but until you get a decent tune you're just leaving power on the table.

Like I said, nice car. Just tune it and you'll get it sold.

7500obo isnt a bad price to be asking. a buddy of mine just sold his 603whp 1g for 9k. obvi at 603 it is a fully built motor though. Either way, i think 7500 is closer to what it will sell for. bump.

People have made 600+whp on stock 6 bolt bottom ends, throw some L19 studs and a good gasket on it and tune it correctly and it'll take anything that turbo can throw at it.

I know of 2 first gens that sold for big money... one sold for 16k another for 23k. Both were turn key low 9 second street cars, which wouldnt take much to put in the 8s. People like fast cars. When there is 10-9 second slips, and a nicely done problem free (at the time) car eventually someone will buy it

Def. not a 10 second car, but, this thing should hit 11's with out too much trouble, 11s for 5500 bucks is a good deal- there is def. some money invested into this car, if you want a badass DSM without sinking all the money into it- this car is the way to go.

Now that the price is 5500, it's not a bad buy, sit at 5500 for a little bit, someone will buy it. I would've bought it when I was looking for a car last month if it was at 5500 then! lol

You have no clue what it takes to take a car at this weight into the 10's on a bolt-on turbo. Ask tort9320g on here, he had a lighter car on DR's that was tuned great on race gas with great driving on a well setup car and went 11.0. But I'm sure this rough tune car that had a so-so trans went 10.80's immediately after it was bought.

Looking back at it now I could see that. I dunno about the stock trans. Thats the only major aftermarket part on there. With the bolt-on turbo along with the stock motor/head/cams, the jnz trans makes it more worth it.

it is fully gutted in the rear with the cage being present the front half is racing seats and two gauges on the pillar and a turbo timer on the steering wheel then under neath the headunit is my safc and oil pressure gauge
