New Guy (Near Quakertown)

Hi All, the name is Alex. I live and near Q-town and you can usually find me cruising RT 309 from Montgomeryville to Whitehall, or sitting at the VW meet (Nestors in Quakertown) on Wed night with the SRT-4 crew.

I drive a White (except for where it's peeling :( ) 1992 Dodge Spirit R/T. It's name is "Q-ship" (as you can tell from my crappy photochopped plate). I just got it back on the road for the first time in 4 years and have 1500 miles on the new motor.

They are VERY functional :thumbup:

Only about 1300 of these cars produced and only 191 in my year. Less than 70 of these cars produced in my color. They came with a Garret T3 making max 11PSI from from the factroy, put down 200hp to the front wheels, and ran the 1/4 mile a few tenths slower than the current day SRT-4.

My setup...
- 2.2L 16V DOHC I4 "Turbo III"
- T3/T4 .50 trim - running 12 PSI at the moment
- Rebuilt head w/ porting & valve job
- 5 speed FWD A-568
- All around adjustable Koni sturts/shocks

I have some Audio Equipment too. I'll have some pics of that I get the interior back in.

It is a nice car. Alex it's Chris, we met last night. It was nice to actually talk turbo'd cars with someone who knew something. I like it just b/c it's unique. I can't wait until you get it painted. You'll have to give me a ride next time I bump into you at Nestor's ... b/f the police kick us out.

^ Too many A-holes flying around there lately. I'm suprised the police let us stay as long as they did.

I figured out how to get to the TST meeting place. I think I'm going to try to make it to the meet tonight. Maybe try to pick up one of those cool TST plate frames.

Thanks, but I'm not racing her just yet. After I turn up the boost this weekend and get the toe corrected (do you have any idea how hard it is to find tie rod jam nuts!?) I'll find you guys at a track.

I'm heading home from work now. I have to check a few things on the car (vac lines & power steering) then maybe i'll wash it (for giggles) and I'll do my best to show up at Absolute tonight. Should be there around 8:00 I imagine.

So tell me, CAN A PERSON DRIVE ANYWHERE IN PA WITHOUT HITTING 3 DETOURS!? I tried to go from 309 to 73 to Rt 1 and out to the meet only to find that 73 had been detoured all over creation and I couldn't find RT1. :(
oh well, guess i'll have to find i different way out there for next week.

But hey, after I got fed up and headed home I had a nice time with a Bullit mustang.
he was lined up with a DSM at a light and i was behind them. When the light they launched. I switched lanes, got around the speeding DSM, and crawled up on the stang. We later stopped to talk and he told me he couldn't believe my car moved like that. It made my night.
