LX, auto, 2.2 i4, about 110k on it.

It handle nicer then I thought and will be trading my Escort ZX2 straight up for it. What are a few basic things I can do to it? I'm new to Hondas, Ive had Fords all my life. I'm mostly picking this up as my gas saver as I also have a nicely modded Mustang for weekend fun.

I'd like to put a nice Spring/strut combo on it (no more then a 1in drop), 30% tint, and maybe a set of white 17's or the stock EX rims(owner would be giving me a set of those anyway. SO I have a few questions.

1. What kind of power can the stock auto tranny take?
2. What kind of power can the stock engine take?
3. What are the best intakes for these cars?
4. Whats a good spring/strut combo?
5. Whats the widest tire that the 95 EX rim will fit?
6. IF I did a hondata...approx what would the gains be on teh stock motor? I have no plans to get into anything more then a basic set of bolt ons.
7. Are there any nice break upgrades?
8. Are there any Euro or JDM stock parts that will fit my car? the owner already has the little window visors on the outside of the car over the side windows.

Thanks guys, sorry if some of these questions seem stupid, but like I said, I know Fords, not Hondas.

congrats on the new car. got 1 myself 95 ex but 4dr and manual.. performance mods really don't f go to well b/c the auto tranny soaks up any extra power you would make but it you wanted to do it anyway i would go ebay route intake and springs tien and kybs or tokicko struts work well with a few accords i know. do you have the vtec 2.2 or nonvtec 2.2 ?

He said he has an lx. So he has the f22b2.

A manual swap would be the best route.

Motor is pretty strong but bolt ons don't do much. You can boost it to about 6-8 psi daily but motor will eventually blow.

Best route is get an h22 and swap it in. Bolt ons from there are good. But h22 is bad for boost so if you want boost you'd have to resleeve it. If not the motor would blow in less then a month.

Best intakes are AEM or Injen. Most important part of them are they are carb legal.

As far as brakes you can upgrade and swap on Acura Legend rotors and calipers.

5th gen (94-97) accord's were the same car around the world. But there are really no special edm parts aside from a wing that doesn't fit usdm cars b/c of the license plate size.
As far as JDM parts there are a few:
Sir Wing - Rare - $300-$500
Mugen Wing - Rarer - $400-$600
Mugen Front Bumper - Extremely Rare - $1000+
Mugen Grill - Fairly Common - $200-$400 (But there are alot of fakes in exsistence)
Sir Signal Lights - Semi-Rare - $100
Coupe Vent Shade/Visor - Rare- $200+
Stanley Blackhoused Headlights - Rare - $300-$500
Stanley Corners - Rare - $100-$200
Rear Fog - Rare - $200+
Yellow Fog Lights - Semi-Rare - $100
Sir Cluster - Rare - $400+
Sir Lip - Rare - $400+
Door Sills - Very Rare - $200+
Sidemarkers - Common - $30
