b16's make no torque ! you'd have to boost it to get some good power out of it !

Thats what I hear. I would prefer the ls over the B16, but either would be better than what I have now, dual point D15b 70hp stock motor!

Danronian has a LS cable trans and I am looking to sell my LS motor soon, what are you looking to spend? Im assuming this is going into a 91 civic?

You can make power with them all motor, it's been done. They are plenty quick.

The LS is boring to drive. The high-rev's and short gears of a b16 swap are much MUCH more fun.
If I were you, I'd spend the extra money to get the b16 swap.
I unfortunately have nothing for sale, but I'll keep a look out.

I'll agree...if you were gonna just swap the car and thats it for a DD the B16 is fun...I had both a LS swapped and a B16 swapped CRXs...comparing them was tuff both were fun and they are somewhat decent if you try and build them...but the B16 is way over priced in my opinion which kind of made me not a huge fan...if you can get a B16 swap for cheap go for it but price wise a B16 swap is probably gonna be double what the LS is and use the extra cash to boost the LS...which owns all FTW LS-T for the win!

Yep, its going into a 91 hatch. Do you know how much Danronian is selling the LS cable tranny for? And how much are you thinking of letting the LS motor go for? Im looking for reasonable prices, in the 400 to 600 range depending on quality.

I have a pretty damn nice LS ys-1 tranny here.
Syncros are good, bearings are good too.
$350 firm since a bunch of other people want me to ship it for that price.
Includes used stg something clutchnet clutch and vss.
Loserkidwac's engine is pretty nice too. b18b1, clean inside, no smoke, and perfect compression.

B16's are pretty cool. Depends on what you want to do though. If you feel like spending another thousand on building up the head, you will love the wild VTEC.

I also know for a fact that loserkidwac (Matt) has a lot of turbo parts he'd probably be willing to sell you too to make some decent power out of that motor.
PM him for details.
I know he's having a party tomorrow, but I'll try to remember to let him know you sent him a message and to respond.
