Why did they tell you to stray away from buying one? And what do you plan on doing with it, just a daily driver?

I have a '94 SE-R & It is a lot of fun for the price.

No, it wold be my first car, and i would tune it, but also a daily driver.

because the rear is linked, if you are looking for an sr20de car, look into 91-94 sentra ser (independant rear suspention), 2000 nx, infinity j20 (i know it's something 20)

i had one and it was a blast

I test drove one for my girl and wasnt impressed at all with it. I have heard that the older models are much better like Sport Compact mags. But they are hard to find in decent condition.
