Def Leppard was my first concert, she took me... The second concert was Def Leppard as well, we met them. I still have the autographed jacket I wore to the show from when I was... 7 I think :)

She's taken me to see David Bowie too, even when NIN opened for him lol. Hell, she spent $500 a ticket so we could see him at Madison Square Garden a few years back.

My mom kicks ass. She missed the last Def Leppard concert cause my step-dad was being a douche... so I'm gonna take her,

yeah but you could just pay for parking 10-20$ rite?
get trashed in the parking lot 20 case?
110$ tickets for front / second row
total 140-150 as opposed to $300+ for box seats and you cant be up in the front
i mean thats why you go isnt it to watch the game?

I've been to a box at a phillies game... all free, everything in there.

Thats why they charge so much per person

My girl just got me into hockey. It helps that she has season tickets in the 15th row right behind the goal... oh and free parking right by the door.

I was at the game last night, overall crappy showing by the Flyers. A couple of decent fights though. Steve Downie is quickly becoming one of my favorites.

Like most people said, if you need tickets craigslist or stubhub are the best bets. Me personally, I like to sit in one of two places. Center ice, all the way at the top or center ice first row of the second level. If you go for the seats at the very top, get the ones that are right at the top of the stairs. There are no seats in front of you, so you can stretch out. There is enough room so you don't have to get up when people walk by, there is a place behind you to throw your trash AND you can stand up without getting in anyone's way. The front row of the second level is nice, just because you have a great view and there is no one in front of you and you get easy in/out access to get beer.

The luxury boxes IMO are overrated. I used to get tickets to my old companies box 5 or 6 times a year. It is nice with the free VIP parking and the snacks (if you are going to a privately owned box, you may or may not get free food/booze depending on what the owner has setup for that game). The other cool thing is the people you meet. The box we had was right next to the Comcast box right at center ice. It was Ed Snider's personal box for games. So, I've seen/met Andy Reid, Dr. J., Ed Snider and a few other people which is pretty cool. However, as a hockey fan it sucks. The boxes are quiet and you just don't feel like you are at the game.

Jay, if you ever want to go to a game or just head to the bar to watch one, give me a call.

I agree with NJGOAT. My uncle has season tickets that are the first row of the 200 level, by the blue line. It is great to have noone infront of you and room to lounge out.

I also agree that the lux boxes aren't worth the dough, I'd rather watch at home. If I am there I want to get loud, and have a loud section around me...ya know?

As said, CL, stubhub and sometimes eBay are the best bet for below face value, but it doesn't happen often.

I got some killer tickets to a phantoms game off of eBay the other day, row 1 on center ice :)

Anyone in the montco area ever wants to watch some hockey, give me a shout.

I'm a huge Flyer's fan. Last night's game hurt to watch. The Downie fight was awesome though,..he was laughing at and taunting the other guy while Carter and Upshall(right behind on the bench) were talking **** and laughing too....it was great. They looked really really tired last night though. They have had alot of games in the past few weeks. They just weren't battling hard for control of the puck. Oh well,...hopefully they learn from it.

Tomorrow night against Pittsburgh is going to be a kick ass game though!! Time to bounce back after last night's loss and pick up a win.

i had box seats twice at the flyers and id take take front row seats anyday over it. the free food they give you is grade D, it would be better to save the money ur spending and just go to a nice restraunt before you go.

Yeah, that was ****ing nuts. The 6 player fight was good too.

HD made that ref incident look crazy. When he took his hands away from his face you could see the blood just shoot out, and bounce all over the ice...hope he's ok.

these guys arnt going to go very far in the playoffs. I mean i wasted a 4 hour drive out to pitt today to see them, and they were sluggish, couldnt complete a damn pass, and just played with no heart. the score ended 4-3 in a loss but it really wasnt that close. Even downie couldnt finish what he started, gets in a fight then decides he doesnt want to fight anymore and skates away. /rant

Yeah, the past few games they have played very lackluster. They will get back on track.
