me and my fiance have moved to woodbridge NJ. new pics

Me and my fiance have been looking at condos and townhouses for the last few months. We put in an offer on a condo a few weeks back in Woodbridge NJ and the offer was accepted. We brought her parents and my dad to check it out last week and they said we done good. It's 1st floor 2 bedroom, 1.5 bathrooms, living room and dining room. Plenty of parking, no garage but I am leaving the show car in my dad's garage, and he lives only 25 minutes or so away. Her parents are about 20 minutes away the other direction. Closing is supposed to be March 3rd and we move in shortly after. The place needs no work whatsoever.

haha. that's a crack towards the salmon colored walls in the master bedroom ain't it. We just gotta close and then they take their stuff out and we do some painting here and there and then move our stuff in and we are good to go:mrgreen:

LOL. Haha. thanks for the comments and compliments.
there will be painting done and refurnishing. None of their stuff is staying, 'cept for the appliances. So the washer and dryer wont have to leave that room until they need to be replaced.

They should be just wall hung or be put up with glue...will be a pain to remove if they are glued on but will make the space look bigger without them. Plus a great place to put a wall hung big screen tv lol :wink:
Def wanna throw some 2 tone colors in there...you have hvac giving ya some cool ceiling views and a chair rail to play up the space... yeah i might of lost ya there lol

ah I see I see okay. yeah I am not lost just yet. Yeah that would be a good place for a tv. But for right now we are just going to do a regular tv on the same wall that the tv is on right now.
Actually that is a issue we are trying to resolve right now. My fiance has a problem with us putting a couch where their's is and a tv where their's is cause people would be sitting at an angle to watch tv. I actually sent you a pm over on njtuners asking you a couple questions.

mortgage has been gotten
current owners are fixing the issues that came up in the inspection.
closing is still on for March 3rd

closing went well.
we found out as they moved their stuff out that we are going to have to paint a lot more than we expected originally. It's all good though, we are going to repaint the entire condo. We started to do some painting yesterday and we 1/2 way done with the MB and BR in the MB. I also changed some locks yesterday. I am working tonight and tomorrow night, so I will be going to do more work on Friday. My fiance is going there tonight with a friend of hers and they are going to do some more painting in the MB. The goal right now is to have the MB fully painted and vacummed and carpet shampooed by Saturday afternoon when the mattress gets delivered.

had to do more painting then we originally planned
we been painting more and more this last week
we are pretty close now
just gotta paint closet in MB
entire 2nd bedroom
and looks like we are going to paint lower portion of dining room too
the people were smokers so most of the place yellowed cause of it
and the smell is in the carpet
I havent noticed it since the 1st day or 2 of working in there
but my fiance has asthma and she can tell
so we are going to solve that problem
we also went furniture shopping last weekend
and we are expecting our bedroom set and living room stuff in 2-4 weeks
and out mattress was delivered last Saturday
and prolly next weekend we are going to begin moving stuff from her parents house and my parents house there depending on if everything is then in move in condition
I will post up some pics as soon as we are all done.

It's been a rough 2 weeks. Me painting and what not from when I woke up in the afternoon until 4:30 in the morning. And my fiance losing sleep as well heading to the condo after she got out of work and working for a few hours, But we are officially done painting and repairing some stuff. All carpeting is vacummed and shampooed as well.
All that remains is cleaning the 2 bathrooms and the kitchen. And installing new receptacles, switches, switch plates and outlet covers.
And we are moving in on Satuday. Woot Woot.
I will take some pics over the weekend of how we painted the place.
oh yeah and I want to thank Jess (NjSurfrGurl) for color ideas and for the recommendation of Jarons down in Bordentown for furniture

the place is coming along well. We still need to decide on an entertainment center for the living room, but I am also trying to get something that I will be able to use when we get our flat screen t.v.
