Hey guys...I was just informed about this site so I figured I'd introduce myself...
My name is Dan, I'm from Wilmington Delaware...currently I'm driving a 2004 Saturn Ion Redline. I just figured I'd say hey, and wait for it to warm up to get out to some meets. Here's a quick pic of my car...let me know what you guys think.

Haha yeahhhhh, the springs I want aren't in production again for another month or so...but trust me it's on the list lol. But I live right off of Naamans road. Or Foulk. Or Grubb. depends on where you're coming from lol.
So far I have intake, header, exhaust, GM Stage 2, torque dampener.
I ran consistant 13.8s at Cecil with 2.4 60's on my old tires...unfortunately I didn't get to run it again before they closed when I got my new wheels Tires...
I'm really just hoping to break mid-13s and call it quits. I've got a 2.8" pulley on the way, so I'm hoping that and the tires will do the trick.

Well, the factory pulley is 3.3" but I've got the GM Stage 2 pulley on there which is 3.1" and my trap speeds are usually around 104, give or take a 1/2 mph.

Haha trust me, I use it that my advantage all the time. If I race somebody and win, then wow, they just got beat by a Saturn...but if I race somebody and lose, who's gonna go around telling their friends they beat a Saturn?
It's a win/win siutation lol. Anyway, I'm pretty sure I saw (err, heard) you by the gas stations (four corners) on Foulk and Silverside...

Wow. Thats pretty fast. Was that street tires or DR's? I'm assuming with that pulley you are around 13-14psi? Does the stage 2 eliminate the high RPM boost bleed?
I"m going to have to take the Saturn to the track after I get the new clutch installed. I've never really run it because the stock clutch goes weeee after the first 30 feet, but i've got the 2.8" pulley, motor mounts, suspension, HP Tuners, and i'm about to do the Exedy clutch. Once I get that clutch tighted up I think the car will really fly.

I was on bald street tires, hence the 2.4 60'...that's why I was hoping with better tires, or just a better launch all together, I could run consistant 13.6s with the setup I have now...after the 2.8" pulley I'm just hoping to break the mid-13 line.
Stage 2 is supposed to give you right around 16psi, but I notice 17 right off the bat. Now I'm creeping to 18 or 19 at the top of 3rd gear, so I think my cat is clogged :(
Since the car was cut off with a 6450 RPM redline, the motor was still building a good amount of power right up until it hit fuel cut, so along with the Stage 2 kit comes an ECU reflash that actually bumps the redline up to an even 7000...

What gauge are you using? I have the 2.8" pulley and i'm only seeing about 17psi.

Yeah, I gotta admit - that's without doubt the best looking Saturn I've EVER seen. Love the smoked tails, and the bolt-pattern rims really work well. Normally I'd say you gotta tint the windows, but I think that ride pulls it out nicely anyway. Definite thumbs up!

I'm using a glowshift boost gauge now, but I've had it hooked up to an Autometer Pro-Comp and got the same readings. Stock I was running the normal 12.5ish, but after stage 2 and colder weather it's really going up...plus lately it sounds like there are marbles in my muffler, so I really think I blew my cat, and the boost is creeping too high.
It's a really common problem with these cars apparently, but I've been trying to go easy on it until I just get a new downpipe.
Thanks to everybody who welcomed/complimented me and my car though, I appreciate it.

Thanks guys. I just saw that thread about the Sonic meet, and I'd like to go. I was thinking of asking a few people around here if they wanted to ride up that way. I was there last year for a Cobalt/Ion meet last year and it was a lot of fun.
Until then, I'm hoping they start up these Best Buy meets on 202 again, because I live about a mile from that store lol.
