Good for your friend. This bike is beast and its mint. Never been layed.

And as you can tell by the toys in my friends background this dude dont play.

Same website. I checked on this bike. And a R6. The CBR scored 10+ points higher compared to the R6

That's as much as a car! I might be shopping for a bike soon, but I am not spending more then $3,500 on one. I think used YZF-R1's go for that.

Show me a r1 for 3500 and il show you a flying cat-dog...

my point is, i dont think R1's are even near 3500. they are close to 12 new. and i think they came out in 01 too.

Plus sandra, you+r1=? i dont think so... you cant handle it, but then again maybe you can  . Thats alot of , uhh .. yea, between your legs. lol...

not to go poo poo on your friends sale. but the bike im looking at right now, at a dealership is $6000 its a 04 CBR 600 RR, which is better then the F4, plus it has a aftermarket exhaust, chrome wheels, and a lot of carbon fiber. And it only has 5,100 miles. this is from a dealership too. so , i think your friend should ask around 3,500 . Tell him il give him 3,500 in cash.

You are kidding me right? In Arizona the R1 is like $6,500 brand new. The only reason I know is because my friend bought one off the show room floor! I would either go with that or the R6, most likely the R6 since they are a bit heavier for a first time biker.

Any bike with a "R" in the title is not a first time bike. Try a GS500, Ninja 250, or even a Bandit 600. Stay away from the GSXR, R1/6, ZX's, CBR's or any of the racing bikes. The 600's are still putting down 100+ hp with a weight of just 400 lbs while the 750/1000 put upwards of 160 hp down.

Big, big difference between going fast on a bike and driving fast in a car. If your a first time rider, you usually learn this too late.

MSRP on a R1 is almost 12k.

$12k?!?!?!? Close

I just checked it, and for the highest priced bike with all the premium features and Raven color is around $11k. I was mistaken with the $6500.

My friend bought his R1 almost 3 years ago so I am not sure if they jacked up the price since then or if he bought an older model off the show room floor.

The prices on R1's did jump a bit due to a redesign on the model year for 05.

And a 600 is the perfect size bike to learn on not too much power, and weight wise there are 900 and 1000's that weigh the same as 600's. PLus those 500 and 250's you will grow out of them too quickly and they really dont hold any value cause not too many people but them
