I have to give a shout out to Martin and LPC for his work.
Everyone said these wheels would be near impossible to clean. Whatever Martin did, they are easier to clean than my factory BBSs.

Internal wastegates are better off painted. There's a rubber membrane in there that doesn't like heat.

Martin you still alive. I came by today you were not there. I need to pick up my BBS and drop off the konigs to be coated instead. Some little bastard decided to put nails and screws behind my tires so i would run them over. Now i have 3 out of 4 konigs flat. So we will just coat the konigs first then the BBS wheels

This is a picture showing the guts of a wastegate actulator. You can clearly see the rubber membrane, so cooking this in an over will most likely kill the thing.

Not a standard one, no. The problem is that you have to recrimp it after you have coated it...effectively ruining the finish. Although I may have Martin coat my spare one and than I'd pour rubber restore into it and may be that will work...

It's not that hard, just the clamp. Also the manifold has a egt sensor in it, should I take that out or would you take it out for me?

What color do you think I should do it too? I know the high temp is a select few but I'm just wondering.

kevin your best bet is to take it all apart for me wich i know it might sound silly but it speeds the process up way faster for me. what color is your car?

My car is Black. I have a valve cover that is mirror black with polished letters. I am thinking getting everything a nice shinny silver. So I'm guessing stainless steel silver? Got any samples of that color?

can this be done to mine as well. How do you think super chrome would look on it, enough to make it look polished? And also the intake manifold has that crinkle texture, could you blast it smooth and make it super chrome to look polished, or would it still have that crinkle texture?

also hell yes it can be done! i think super chrome would look sick on it! the intake manifold i can take the wrinkle/crinkle powder off with no prob now if the intake itself is not smooth as in its like a ruff cast part then no you will still see it through the powder but ill have to take a look at it first and i can tell you what i can do for you ok? stop by son i have not seen you for a long time!

Hey Glen congrats on the new car!!!

As far as the wheels its best to get in contact with the company and ask them the specs on it. As in do they require a sealent went putting them back together and how much ft/lb torque each bolt takes.

I know a set of bmw wheels i did the customer said they needed a silicon seal when putting them back together and i few other wheels i did that did not need it,

Finally got around to washing, barring, waxing and taking pics of the newly coated wheels.

I think both sides look pretty good as the gloss/flat black combo compliments the tint and molding and the lazer crystal/black metallic compliments the carbon fiber and head light housings.

I am getting my gc06's coated in the lazer crystal.

hey Anthony! yes that was my buddy chris shift knob i gave him a call today to ask about it and he said the same thing small little stress cracks so now im on a quest to figure this out so yea dude lets see what we can figure out here.
