A plastic shopping bag cost between .10-.30 euros in europe. I think its an awesome idea.

There is a number...plastic bags vs paper actually saves millions of gallons of fuel per year in transportation costs because of the lighter weight. The real downside is that they are not biodegradable. Good for them. I think we need stuff like that here.
