What the car does in the first video I ran a 14.5 1/4" time. At the time all the car had was a tune up, FWI, and the Dynotech Trans. I floor it around 20mph and as you can see my tires don't do anything.

Video of my almost stock Regal:
Almost Stock Regal Pull From 20mph (http://s230.photobucket.com/albums/ee74/Geforcextreme/Videos/?action=view&current=AlmostStockRegalPullFrom20.flv)

On 12/31/07 when I was leaving for work I saw my digital camera and being it was new years eve I said what the heck. To my luck the road I was on opened up and I was able to get on it somewhat. The video below is my car now with all the upgrades listed below and running stock WOT timing (keeping it safe till I get my tuner in). I start to get on it around 20mph however I was keeping an eye out so I kind of eased on the gas. Of course the tires still spun. The windows were up in the car this time so it may not sound as loud as the last video.

mike, your car is funny since it looks like the run-of-the-mill senior citizen car, but it has balls

An old mans car, but a young persons engine. lol. not bad. it doesnt chirp 2nd or 3rd gear though...a lot of them do that with those bulletproof trannies like you have. I can tell ya how to do it though. Start off in manual first, rev it all the way to 6000, keep foot on gas, switch to neutral, then switch it back to manual 2nd. lol. when done fast, it will lay a patch (esp with those mods).

It will chirp 2nd gear sometimes. However I think that was before with my older tires. My new tires seem to grip a whole lot better now. Even when the traction control switch is turned off, it still activates it after excessive wheel spin. I think because I was spinning out up to 45mph it was pulling timing and maybe the reason why I was not getting anything. I think also some of my torque management in enabled because if you see in the 2nd video the shifts are a tab bit smoother then in the first video.

Come this spring I plan to take the car back to Atco to see what it puts down.

Yeah I just noticed that I can get up to 85 in 2nd gear. I'm surprised it can get that high because I upgraded to 3.29 ratio from the stock 2.93. I could have gone to 3.69 however this is my DD. The nice thing is I now get 20mpg city.

Nice, it seems to have responded well to the mods.

I saw one throw a rod through the oil pan right after putting down 475fwhp, it was pretty insane.

Yeah the stock blocks are pretty strong to a point. Most people blow the trans up because they are junk or pistons with the wrong mods. Most noobs swap in a smaller SC pulley with no other mods and the PCM can only tune out so much KR. So they wind up taking chunks out of the pistons. I have heard of some pretty high WHP out of these motors. ZZP just finished a Turbo 3.8 for a client which put down 594WHP. There is only so much you can get out of the Eaton SC. Unless you go turbo or a whipple SC 300-400 is usually what we get. Thats still not bad being that stock these only put down around 190whp I could have gone turbo but I wanted to just stick with a SC.

Yeah my car is an automatic... wish they came manual but no luck there. The top of my steering wheel column is flat. So I lay my digital camera on that, start the cam, and go.
