Sorry guys, i'm a bit annoyed and figured id post up and find out who feels as i do.

on many of the other forums i frequent they have a "kills stories" section, basically all of these guys post up their stories of how "i raced this guy in this car and pull ten cars on him"

it all just seems kinda pointless, and most of the guys seem to know next to nothing about their own cars, let alone the car that they "Raced"

I mean most of us are guilty of some ego boosting driving, but these guys seem to base everything the believe about a car on one so called race on a public street.

usually i question my own intelligence after reading their encounters.

i guess my biggest issue with it is that these guys are going nuts over doing their so called racing in their 99% stock cars and thinking its the coolest **** ever, let alone the fact that most of the time the descriptions dont give me the impression that they're out in the middle of nowhere on an unpopulated road.

blah. maybe that'll make sense to someone :-p

so your saying there shouldnt be "kill stories" because people dont know what there talking about?
Or you just want highly elaborated "kill stories"?

Because "kill story" is arrogant in itself. Why a kill? "Good kill"? "Nice kill"? It's all pretty useless.

Winning a race is a lot of fun, but bragging about it is futile.

ask any racer, any real racer...it doesn't matter if you win by an inch or a mile, winning's winning!

the reason why TST doesn't have a "kill stories" forum: its just plain retarded.

My gf has a tc and one day, I was just looking for performance parts for her car (even though she would never mod it), but anyways, I stumbled upon clubtc.com and the "kill" thread. I looked through it and I could not help but laugh. tC's are nice cars, but it is so funny how they were bragging about some integra or altima they just beat. And I saw this one video of a supercharged tC beating an RSX type S and some guy in a DSM saying how the guy in a tC should get a "REAL" car. Long story short, the DSM lost badly. So much for having a "real" car. I would say the majority of the people who pose on kill threads are ricers... However, on supraforums.com, you better have a good, real story or people will figure it out. I guess I'm just spoiled of races like supra vs C6 zo6, supras vs lambos, etc. It is still street racing and maybe stupid, but it's fun and all of us are guilty of it... I don't post kills because the ones I've beaten are not worth it~ rusty, fart cannon civics, eclipses, and 3000GTs. If I have a good story, I'll definitely let you know. :-p

CLIFFs: I guess some kills are interesting reads, but 99% are just plain stupid

Im only going to post this in defense to my recent "kill story".

I was raised watching street racing, my father used to be one of the great street racers when i was a kid, there is nothing wrong with it if its done right as hard as it might be to understand. racing is racing no matter where its done, its no safer for you or the car at the track. So please dont come on the forum and try and preach the no street racing bull**** here. Its been done and it doesnt matter.

Secondly anyone here that "claims" they havent raced makes me laugh, we all build some sort of car to go fast but you drive properly all the time, **** off go lie somewhere else.

Third alot of the time a "kill story" also wants to know who it was they raced. so it could be a spotted/kill.

Either way, Its a waste of time to complain about people racing. Doesnt matter who is doing it and how or where its done it happens, teenage girls get pregnant. Both suck but both are reality. But if I wanted to go slow all the time, I would have bought an Aveo.

Lol, I think you missed the point. No one denies that they race, nor are they complaining about people racing. They are complaining about exactly the point you made first. Back in the day it was about respect on the street. People saw you win and they respected you for that. Now, kids are in the habit of FISHING for respect with thier "kill" stories.

Sadly, I was present with my father as well, and i've watched the scene go from one extreme to another, and now almost die out completely. Violence and ignorance killed it, and thats what I see with a lot of these "kill" posts.

That's like saying "I was raised watching my father get drunk and beat my mother, so its ok that I do the same to my wife"

I won't argue about it being any safer at a track for you or your car (or mine for that matter).

But you forgot to mention that it IS safer for everyone watching, and usually those who are not watching and get plastered while pulling out of a parking lot by someone racing down the street who is keeping an eye on where their front end is compared to the person right next to them.

i'm glad you guys all seem to get the point i was making.

but yes, im not complaining about racing itself, as i said... we're all guilty of it.

it's just the stories, i mean once in awhile something epic might happen thats worth telling the world about, but most of the time its not.

i guess its my fault for being a probe enthusiast, because most of the other owners aren't my kind of person.. but this is where this rant really comes from. bleh probetalk is down, i'll post the link when i can get on the forums.

Somehow I doubt that. Stupid does not skip generations. There are just more and more younger and older racer's out on the roads that are picking stupid ass places to race.

I love writing Kills stories, but that's the thing, they're stories. Not just 5 lines "zomg I beatstid a honder civac wit a furt cn tody man yea i smoeked mhim liike jebuss smked a blutn!"

I'd post more on this site but Troll doesn't like street racing Kills.

You are correct, dumb doesn't skip generations. However at the old scene people would come to race, and at the new scene a handful of people show up to race. The rest drive honda's there to watch because it is "gangsta" to do so. I also believe that this new trend of walking on red has infected a lot of younger people's brains. God I want to run those punks over.

Well if it was for being a whore then it was deserved but thats not what Im saying. Im saying exactly what Tiny said. I come from where there was respect for it. One good car vs another. Granted street racing has gotten to a minivan and a 20 yr old hunk of **** hitting light after light but a kill is a kill no matter how lame it is. I mean I wouldnt post about a kill with a friggin accord or something. Im just not sure why it matters. And if you arent interested why did you read it in the first place. I personally enjoy hearing someones race believeable or not. Thats just me. And Scapegoat, would it really be any different if somone posted their kills at the track? not really. A race is a race no matter where its done. But to complain on a car forum is like singing to the deaf.
