I've decided i am not plowing 2 more grand into my ten year old daily driver at the moment. Over the years ive spent like 6-8 grand on it and only got 25k miles out of it.

I know I will get made of fun for this, but who cares anyway, all I need for daily driving is a sh*t econobox for like 200-250 a month on a lease. I only do 0 down too. I am looking at Ford Fusion SEL I-4 with a 5 speed at the moment fully loaded. Been hammering the local dealer here on one. Originally they wanted 268 a month, but i got it down to 229 a month. they wont go anymore than that it looks like. Anyone here drive a Fusion recently and have any input? Remember, I am going to use this for school and a daily car to put miles on, and if its a lower end job, i would use it for a business drive. I typically drive 40-50 miles a day for business when I work, and 40 miles a day for school, so thats around 100 miles a day usually. So I need a 15k mile a year lease.

Its a 4 cylinder with like 150 horsepower, and I would probably end up holding it pinned all the time just to get anywhere. Any other suggestions would help. I really don't want to go import, but i will take a look at them.

Walk in there and say "I can only do $200 a month, not a dollar more."

They say no, walk out.

Odds are they chase you as soon as you hit the door.

You could probably afford a little more for a car if you didn't have it "pinned" at all times. I fell sorry for any car you drive.

Like zenk said offer what you can afford and leave..they chase you they're spineless worms who want your money.

Fusin aren't bad little cars. I've drove one a few times as my parents were also looking for one. If you want a cheaper car just get the new focus. They look pretty good this year. You may even get an awesome deal on a 06/07 cause they want to get them off the lot.

Look at GM as well. A Colbalt LS, or a Malibu as well.

But please, drive this thing like you actually give a crap about it.... Otherwise, on a lease, you will be paying a LOT of extra money for repairs on it.

lol..he'll find that out when the GTO's turned in.

Dude, do what I do. GTO as a DD ftmfw. Except in snow, torrential downpours, and city excursions.

But I tell you what..on that cruise up to Penn State yesterday, even through the snow squall, it is an excellent tourer.

I'm not going to use the GTO as a DD, i have way too many miles on it already. And besides, it gets to be like driving any other car after a while. There shouldn't be any repair bill on it either as I am getting everything nice and fixed up.

About the 200 a month thing, they would do that on a Fusion SE (not the SEL), without the moonroof and leather and all that. I'm gonna offer Fred Beans 200 for the loaded SEL and see what they say though. ha. I at least want something half decent to look at when i am driving.

I was looking at high HP cars for a weekend car (which is sorta what the GTO is now). I am still getting one. Most likely going to jump on a Kenne Bell or Whippled Cobra in 6 months, with very little miles on it.

Honestly you should google some cars and find out how they are leasing. I work at a dealership and am still new to leasing, but from what I understand about it you should be looking at leasing cars that are going to hold their value. Now I'm no pro but I doubt gm's and most other American cars hold their value well. You do hear about lease deals here and there but for a rule of thumb...you want to lease a vehicle that wont depreciate half of its value in a year because you are paying for that. good luck tho...

Maybe a Mazda 3 or something? They aren't so bad..

I know this does not at all answer your question...but you're going to be WAY over your 15k mile lease agreement with that kind of daily mileage. Why not just pick up a decent used car for a similar payment?

if you wanna spend $100 more. BMW is offering a $299.00 Lease on all Z4 M roadsters and Coupes 12K miles 36 Months. They are giving 14K off MSRP because no one wants the M's. I use mine as a DD and I put 50K miles on it since buying it in august of last year and I love driving this thing its awsome.

if you like the fusion (they are actually great cars, ford finally got one right) i can probably get you a pretty good deal on a milan (mercury's version). i used to work at a lincoln mercury dealer. i also used to work at fred beans........................and i have nothing good to say about them.
