well i went to the track today, for the last time of the year. got tons of runs in. ran my slicks for the first time today and ran a 14.9 again on motor. just wanted to see the tires would affect my gearing and na times.
after a few trial runs and babying it out of the hole, i filled the bottle and decided to go for it.

my goal all year long has been to run a 12.
my goal since last year has been to run a 12 on a 50 shot.

well i reached my goals.

i ran a 12.94 @ 105.5 with a 1.93 60'

after that i wasn't getting clean runs, until the bottle was dying down.
i did get two clean launches tho, 1.86 and 1.83 60'

i upped the shot after i ran the 12.9, but i was using my progressive controller and i didn't really pick up much mph 1-2 maybe. and times weren't better because the runs weren't the best. i believe the 12.9 was with the 50 shot, thats what i had it programed for. then i went to the 75. something weird was going on with the 75 shot, when i looked down the afr was --- so it was super rich, its never been like that before. i think the line may have gotten a clog or something to obstruct flow.

i am going to go out and test the controller and see what happens. but as it stands now... 2020 lb car, 180 hp, 12.94et woooo

btw slicks are m&h racemaster 24.5x8.5x15 on stock saturn alloys

are you saying you drop 2 full seconds off your 1/4 mile with a 50 shot??? sorry bud, you have to be spraying it with more than that.

(scratches head)

while i agree with you, the thing probably gains 100 ftlbs off of the little shot and that "50" hp is throught the whole curve...

don't know why he would lie about it, but that is some gain. hit it with 100 and it'll be in the 10's:lol::lol::rotfl:

put a 4g63 in the thing and be done with it.

suck my nut 'bud', at most it is a 75, but i don't think it was. i dropped 1.2 seconds on a 50 shot. 1st and 2nd were always bad for me because i could never hook. i had to back the shot down to 22hp while launching, and ramping up to 50 over 3.5 seconds. i have a nx mini progressive controller. with the slicks it was 50 hp, right off the line. it didn't feel like the 75 shot, but i could be wrong.

Also an extra 50hp in a car that weights 2000lbs is going to do a lot more than in a car that weights 3000lbs.

a 50 shot on a bike isnt gonna make it lose 2 seconds. Im sorry, something doesnt add up. im not saying he didnt run the time, im just saying thats gotta be more than a 50 shot.

bikes run 10s to start with. dropping from 10s to 8s is a lot harder than dropping from 14.9- 12.9

you're right some run 9s:thumbup:

both of the bikes you have listed are capable of 10s stock. along with my 96 gsxr750

if its a newer sportbike, it's probably capable of 10s stock. if not, low 11s.

My ZX7R would have to had one hell of a rider on it to run 10s stock. I dont think your GSXR750 would run 10s either. that bike would get its ass kicked by a new 600. My 07 GSXR kicks well into the low low 10s at 135 leaving the line a 10k and me laying on the tank. that $hit isnt easy. their are a lot of bikes that dont run 10s.
thats off topic anyway. im saying that had to be more than a 50 shot to drop you into the 12s.

i said they are capable, not that an average rider can do it. i know i can't launch a bike, i don't take time to practice. my best on my bike was 11.5 @ 122 with a 1.9x 60' and its geared a little.
but on topic~ my car ran a 14.9 with very few mods very early this year, march i think. since then i have done quite a few significant na mods. i don't run all motor that much, the one run i had with the slicks all motor was a 14.9 with a 2.229 60' if i had launched hard, i could get it down 2 tenths, which would probably bring my time down to a 14.5~ or so. so does a 1 1/2 second drop seem more likely to you

still seems like a lot, idk.
as for the bikes, dont believe everything you read on the net. those times look a little off to me.
