Ok, so here it is. My lock nut on my rim is striped in the inside and I have to get them off cause i want to swap tires from my talon to my eclipse. Anybody have any idea's how i can do this. Anybody that help would be great thanks. It's really hard to explain but in a nut shell the lock nut is basically a socket and that part is striped in the inside.

If i understand your problem correctly, weld a nut onto the locknut? Then use a socket wrench to get it off. Am i understanding you right?

Is it the nut that's stripped or the key?

yeah take the next size up socket and really hammer it over the lug.. worst case scenario snap on makes a kit of sockets just for this. also eppies at grant and bustleton will get it off for you cheap.

is it stripped on the outside so your socket doesnt fit, or is it stripped on the inside so that the threads are stripped?

Sears sells these stripped thread sockets that bolt on that will remove a stripped bolt. trust me it works.

I forget that exact name, i pretty drunk but i remember that they come in a set that should fit. goodluck!!!

If you can get on it, Vise Grips will work great.

I've had to use it on cars I bought that came with no key.

take a oxie-acetalene(sp) torch and melt it off!

Use a shotgun, that's what all the cool people do!!!

Orrrr just hammer a turbo socket on there and pull it off. Probably wouldn't hurt to get a tool behind the lugnut and pull towards you as you're rotating it off either.

Wait, we're going about this all wrong.

Wheel lock: Check

Open lock so that a key slides into it and bottoms on the stud?
Closed lock with a socket(key) that goes around it and a small clover inside that fits in a groove on the head of the wheel lock?

Or are the threads damaged?

Be more FREAKIN specific. Pictures.

You can not solve a problem without first knowing the problem.

And the last parts of this:
DO NOT buy cheap wheel locks.
DO NOT force your lugs on if you can't start them by hand. You should be able to get them to mate to the wheel spider WITHOUT force BY HAND and have the rim completely seated on the hub. Torque comes later, not first.
DO replace your hard starting lugs/locks and damaged studs.
