how do I stop spam texting??

Ok, so this morning twice I had received spam texting from the same company. Once at 5am, the other closer to 7 or so. Now, I know for spammers to call, it has to be between the hours of 8am-9pm (at least, that was law when I worked for MBNA). How do I go about stopping this? I had already emailed the company, but wanted to know if there were other options.

Hunt them down and kill them. That is my plan. I don't have/want a phone plan with texting so this stuff costs me $$$. There will be bloodshed over this.

theres usually a number within the spam text the u text back if u want it to stop

I rec'd these from e-mail address as well. I asked my friend who is a VZW manager and he told me to just reply to the e-mail addres with "remove" "remove me" "unsubscribe" I did this and got errors saying the e-mail didn't go through but I didn't get anymore messages.

I doubt it was VZW that sold your information. Anybody you ever give your cell phone number to can sell it but I doubt it was VZW

Yea.... i already did that.... i do some shopping on the web as well, and since my cell is the only active number, i have to use that. I just wanna make sure my phone isnt going off again at 5am.

That's weird.

I have never gotten one of these. (Knock on wood.)

Both of my parents on VZW have, however T-Mobile over here...nothing.

Is it just a Verizon thing?

I signed up a while ago for the list not allowed to be called. I believe the website was donotcall.gov. I've never received any kind of spam call or text. I don't know if it was because of that or not.

It could be just VZW. I have 4 phones on my plan and each one is getting texts. Someone will die for this.

ive been on that since 04 and i got one of the txts. if i get it again i am contacting donotcall.gov.

i just got one a few days ago, and my dad got one this morning. weird
I texted back the number and there was an error, and i emailed the address from the text and got an error on that too.

i got nextel and i got 4 this mornin and two this afternoon....so weird thta other ppl got it too....i thought it was just somethin i did...o well.


i keep gettin these texts and everytime the fone beeps i think ive gotten popular and ppl wanna talk to me but then its just spam....
