If you are looking for afforable wheels, look into a set of Rota's. They are knock offs of popular wheels which seem to be built very well, and are usually quite lite.

Definately look into Rotas. They have some really nice copies of wheels like Spoon, WedSport, Prodrive, Mugen. The Circuit 8's are nice.

Even though they are now a cheap Pep-Boys brand, Motegi's aren't half bad either.

Rota doesn't offer many of their styles in 16s but they do have some. Sub Zeros and slipstreams are the two that come to mind.

Motegis aren't Pep Boys brand. They were out for awhile before Pep Boys picked them up. They are on the level of Konig for quality. They are a little heavy for what htey are but I don't see a problem with them otherwise.

Cool. I'll have to check with one of the guys over on MSProtege.com for pricing, etc. He works w/ Rota on fitments for the Protege and the hubcentric ring. Or something.
Thanks for the link, EJ.

Rota has actually been around longer than most other wheel companies( 1977). I read once how a legal action was pursued, becasue that oh so popular spoon wheel.....was rotas design (..slipstream come to mind..?)

that seems a bit backwards to me, as most of rotas designs are conspicously similar to other popular name brand wheels...

but, i could be wrong.
