Charlton Heston's The Omega Man is easily one of my favorite movies, and the original book is on my list of favorite books, too.


For that reason, I'm going to the KOP iMax tonight at midnight to see it (sans Z, though).

The movie's great.

Definitely doesn't follow the book as closely as I would have liked, but it's great.

Definitely spend the extra $ and see it on IMAX, looks amazing on that screen.


Oh, and the "big" trailer they show before the movie....you'll like that one just as much :cool:

I give it a 2.5 stars out of 5. It's a pg-13 rated movie, it could've been rated R if they really wanted it. It was a little on the short side, I'm guessing due to Will Smith's salary, location, and cgi they ran out of budget. It doesn't follow the book at all but like I said earlier that is to be expected because if it really did follow the book a lot of people would not have been enchanted by the ending.

The movie revolves more around Neville trying to find a cure than hunting these creatures of the night.

The movie was like Resident Evil, except instead of having a female protagonist it's a male. If you are jumpy or the faint of heart I suggest you not see this movie because the girl next to me kept on jumping when things popped out of nowhere.

That's my opinion. I was greatly disappointed. I was even more so disappointed in the "muddy bears", chocolate covered gummy bears. I had high expectations for both, and neither were what I thought they would be.

Yeah...I was convinced that it was a movie based on that old SNES game Rampage...especially when, in the trailer you hear someone cry out, "I saw it - it's a lion, it's huge!"
