Could this be welded to aluminum piping, need a bung for my IAT temp sensor.
not sure of wat kinda metal it is...

looks like brass, so no. Just find out what thread the sensor is and get an aluminum bung.

im pretty sure its 3/8" npt, need to find a local place to buy an aluminum bung.

just use J-B Weld. Let it sit for like 24 hours and that thing won't come off.

hehe, rather do it the right way...
ordered an aluminum bung from JNZ...should be here this week. Anyone in philly that can weld aluminum?

I thought I already told you this. Just get Jim at JM Fab to weld it for you. Just bring the part you need it welded to with you when you pick it up and you won't even have to leave the building to get it welded up.

well jnz is a little far from me, reason why i was looking for someone closer to me to weld the piece on.
