if your in the city much just pull up behind a random taxi. Most of them have a sticker on it saying something like "For used police interceptors for sale call 215-TST-OWNS " just as an example. if your not ill try and grab the number when im behind a taxi on my way home.

yeah that place has every thing and anything. you can get one from an actual police car all the way up to the nice dective cars that have like 30,000 miles on them.

check out the police auctions....depending on what you can sell your car for and if you were interested in going that route....a kid i know got a 2002 Crown Vic interceptor from the NJ State Police for 995 dollars and it had nothing wrong with it at all except that it needed a little elbow grease cleaning off some of the sticky crap from all their vinyl......
just an option to consider so i thought id throw it out there.

You know you want to sit on the side of the road with your lights off an when someone flys by turn your headlights on and get behind them to freak them out.

My company buys cars from that place in Morrisville all the time. We sell commerical auto insurance (mainly taxi and limo in Philadelphia) and we also have a dealership which sells the Crown Vic's we buy to Taxi owners. The beauty is we also have a finance company do finance these vehicles but only to taxi companies.
Now the point is the company the sells the cars in Morrisville is Grace Markets Group. They have a ton of vehicles but not sure if they sell them privately.
EDIT: I could probably get you an older one that is kinda beat if you had cash in hand.

my dad found one a craigs list a few months ago. a 2000 with like 70,000 miles on it. mint condition I don't remember what he paid for it but it used to be a department of environmental protection car, so it was never really beat on.
on another note my dad is looking to sell his old crown vic, it's not an interceptor though, it's a 92 with like um 16x,xxx I believe. He isn't looking for a whole lot for it either. Let me know if you are interested, I could get some pics for ya

okay I got these for ya before my camera died. It's all charged up now so I can get you some others tomorrow if you want.
My dad said the only thing wrong with it seemed to be the air conditioning wasn't blowing that cold over the summer. I drove ti a few weeks ago and the brakes weren't working that great so I added some brake fluid. But I would say it could use some new pads as well. The car was inspected earlier this year and passed. But there is no inspection sticker currently on the car.
It has an old car phone still in it, which is not being removed. The antenna is on the trunk and it also has a 2way radio antenna on the trunk as well. It did have a siren and 2 way radio and wig wag it, but that has all been removed. It has tan interior, radio with tape deck, power antenna. I think that's basically it. My dad is the 2nd owner on the car, he bought it back in um 96 I believe.

i was actually considering one of these as a daily beater (mainly for the fun of sitting on the higway and scaring the hell outta people) but im wondering if its easy as a normal car to get them registered and insured or do you have to go through a different process? I know when it's titled it is titled as a different title i think its P or F title
Mrjaydeeone
11-28-2007, 10:05 PM
I dont think its too tough to get it registered. I am not sure of PA though. When my dad bought his newer one that is in fact a interceptor, I actually registered it for him. Well in his name of course. But there were no special forms or anything like that to fill out.
