EVO vs STi, Tranny/Diff Shootout!

Basically, the STi rules ;) The evo handles better, stock for stock, in perfect conditions. Also, the evo... wait... that's it?

I forget which magazine said it, but I've always remembered it.

The evo is a rally car set up for tarmac, and the STi is a rally car set up for gravel.

That's prolly right. The suspension definitely appears to have more travel on the STi.

I don't doubt on perfect roads the EVO will edge out the STi. But because of where we live, and the roads I usually travel, the STi feels just right for me and feels predictable enough for my comfort.

That being said, I like those EVO seats!

The Evo def. has better steering responce... however, because of that their turning radius sucks!

anyway, I was happy to read that article since it favored the STi over the Evo, because in that same issue, a few pages before it... the Evo won over the STi in comparison.
