I've been pondering making this thread, so today I figured why not. Someone has to be interested.

1) You must provide the picture! No pictures from other sources, newspapers, etc
2) Don't die trying to take a picture.
3) Post where the road is, some details.

I want to see some huge craters and the worst "roads" the tri-state area has to offer.

I will try and stop at this one on the way home from class.

Crap. I need to find some way of taking a picture of Rt. 3 by the meadowlands. It will loosen your fillings in a heartbeat. There is more patch than there is road left.

So depending how big this gets, I will start it divided by states, and then maybe counties in pa, north, central and south jersey?
I think this could be a lot of fun :)

Im going to head out to 287 near Edison/Perth Amboy, down to Trenton/Hamilton area, and all in between!
NJ :)

Awesome thread. I already subconsciously avoid all the bad roads in my area, so I'll have to think of where I don't usually drive to take pics at.

To start off sure, I'd love to see RI road destruction. I travel through there, its bad.

Lets stick to Tri-State if possible :)

Here is a little taste, I didn't feel like driving around too much but heres some stuff I got:
Simple Left hand turn lane. North Brunswick, NJ

Railroad Crossing on Jersey Ave, New Brunswick, NJ
http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l218/japearl/roads2.gif

There is a lot more out there, but I wanted to post something up to get some interest!

The turn lane doesn't look too bad, the train tracks look like they suck though.

Damn, there's some RR tracks (set of two tracks actually) near Kutztown that are absolutely terrible. I have to go one tire at a time, and about 2 mph. Glad I don't have to drive up there every day anymore. Once this salt from this first storm gets into the roads I'm anticipating more and more potholes showing up around here...

If I can find it I have a picture of my Jetta parked IN a pothole in the delaware water gap recreational area.

I go to school in Newark. The roads there have ruined nearly all of my cars. I'll definitely take the scenic route next time and snap some pics.

I totally agree with you there...and if your taking the ramp from 29 to route 1 you almost can bottom out where the 2 pavements meet as you go up the ramp. I swear its been getting worse and worse over there

But i have a good one...route 36 from the parkway to long branch...who paves road with concrete expects them to last then fills the crates in with asphalt...love it

That and also (its not a pothole but bad) the speed bumps by brunswich zone on Street road that they switched out. OMG. I never went over a speed bump that u had to creep over them to not beat the **** out of your wheels. If you even go over them at 2mph ur not going to like the outcome.
