Very nice 14flat is about normal 13.8ish with a good 60'. Mine dead stock went 14.0 at 101 with about the same 60'.

it seems like the 60 ft is a little slow.

its a bit rough finding a good launching point with the Z's you dont really wanna dump it high cause your clutch an tranny will wave goodbye an if you do it too low it will just bog to all hell, theres also lots of spinning going on there too if you get it right. I've rarely seen 1.8 60ft on the stock tires but it can be done.

When I had my Z i launched at 2500-3000 depending on tempature and I side stepped it netting almost no wheel spin. Anything over 3000 and good night. Bone stock I ran 13.9@101

I didnt get that lucky when i took my car the first time, first launch broke the clutch an it wouldnt stay in gear anymore nore let me try to launch it. I havent ran it since with all the new stuff.

yea i'm not going to lie...i had no idea what kind of traction i would get at a track, it was my FIRST time but i have a stage 2 clutch, new tranny, intake and exhaust...i ran the 2.2 @ 2k rmps...i just need more passes...SPUN BAD the other two times...you REALLY don't wanna know the times...

thanks!!! yea i don't doubt taking off hopefully a half second or so...but two of my three runs consisted of an ungodly amount of wheel spin/hop...1st run i didn't warm the tires AT ALL...not knowing how much traction i'd get and it felt like i was driving on glass...

you dont wanna heat the **** outta street tires. just spin them enough to get the water and dirt off.

PUREKDM
11-19-2007, 09:58 PM
well yea...i didn't heat them AT ALL...the second run i ran that time...the third run i just tried launching a little higher and didn't quite work

Spinning street tires doesn't make them stickier though, you don't need to heat them. All you should do is spin em real quick to get the debris off.

if its 35 degrees outside, its not gonna hurt to put some heat in them. i would stop the second i see smoke though.
