My Dad is a pilot and has all kinds of stories but just told me this one from his flight home tonight.
A guy (GUY A) sitting in lets say Row A had his seat in the back position
A guy (GUY B) sitting directly behind him in Row B didn't like that.
Guy B decides he is going to grab that back of Guy A's seat and shake it, and shake it and shake it. Finally the flight attendant gets involved and tells the captain (my father.) My Father was just about to start descent and told the flight attendant to just handle it. 10 mintues go by and the flight attendant comes back and says Guy B slapped Guy A in the face. Now my Dad has to get involved and writes this up as a level two whatever and interference with a flight crew member.
From the air my Dad reported the whole thing. When they landed the police were waiting for Guy B as soon as he stepped off the plane. Turns out Guy B is an ex-cop and he is probably going to get F'ed pretty hard.
Point of the story is. What the F is wrong with people. You simply can not do a single thing on an airplane anymore. If you do, you're going to get busted hard core and it's going to get fully investigated by agencies like the FBI and the FAA

haha he couldnt ask dude A to move his seat up? or was that a precursor to shaking and slapping? i agree that slapping someone doesnt warrant an arrest and police involvement but that dude is an ass

Now adays this kind of action on an airplane gets you arrested. Anybody that has been on an airplane knows those seats go back like a 1/4 on an inch so I'm assuming Guy B was just a straight ass hole.

ha i realize airplane security is super tight and foul play is strictly prohibited but slapping someone? come on. i agree guy B is complete douchebag for doin this and maybe guy A was too since he didnt move his seat lol

My Dad said he wouldn't be surprised if the FBI gets involved with this since the guy was an ex-cop.

I was on a midwest express flight to WI. It was like a little 40 seater or something. I'm about 5'11" and my head was just missing the ceiling. When I went into the bathroom my head was to the side and I was bent at the kness and I still didn't have enough room.

i understand. are airline personnel considered government employees? because that would make a world of difference.

lol
But in all fairness, some people really do abuse the seat reclining on planes! They actually make a device that you jam in to the seat in front of you that stops the seat from reclining. I don't blame the guy for getting pissed, especially if he had already asked the man in front of him to sit up a little multiple times (which he probably did, the guy was just too ignorant to listen).

Airplanes simply aren't designed for anyone over 5'4. I'm 6'3 and had the most painful flight ever coming home from Nevada, crammed against the window. I couldnt even hold my head straight cause of the curvature of the plane.

i'm 6'7" and am going to school for aviation maintenance. Surpisingly, the design of planes makes things relatively easy to get to, nothing like a car.

How about Las Vegas to Atlanta to Philly?

Because you would THINK that someone who carried around a badge and a gun for however many years would know how to behave in public and not pull a temper trantrum.
