well i was just wondering how many guys here have v8s. i know its a tuners site but i was just wondering who has v8s here. tell me what motor you have and in what car maybe a pic or two

Don't make fun of the exhaust tips; they will be remedied or replaced by March.

And some changes since then: Monaro badge on the back, blue arrow on it's way (**** that red), lack of red side stickers, and it's a lot cleaner. Oh and new tires...instead of 245's all around, 255 in the rear with 235's up front.

I got a beyond ridiculous deal on the 04 though, so I had to take it. And I love the blue..just gotta either "adjust" a tip, paint them black, or save for a Bassani.

And I need springs/bushings and stuff. But eh, it moves, that's for sure. Especially without seats. But then it's noisy as hell, and I hate hearing the fuel pump/rattles.

I'm willing to bet that out of the cars posted thus far, mine prolly sounds the most exotic. SpinTech makes horrific systems, but their mufflers are very unique.

And SpinTech is to blame for the tips, hence I got some compensation from them. But that's a long, weary story.

And I have side exit's b/c I liked the idea of seeing steam near my window, and the sound is awesome in Dolby Digital 6.0

haha i am sad to say that he never ran it...he bought it pretty much in the shape its in now and my dad is scared of the power...im tryin to talk him into taking it to the track but it might have to wait till its mine to find out what it can do lol

The tbird has a 408 running on alky. 9.90's on a good day. Sadly, I inherited it in August, put it in the garage, threw some antifreeze in it, backed off the valve springs, and there she sits until next summer. My brother and I are both in school with no time to devote to it.

The Lincoln is for sale. It doesn't get the attention it deserves.

never dynoed either...not too positive on a whole lot about the car...he bought it years back as jsut somethign to drive weekends and when we moved away from philly, we moved to a house with no garage so its been at my uncles garage next to my uncles 65 gto and my aunts 55 caddy....my uncle is pesterring my dad to at least take it to the track once and see what it can do...i dont even know what to guesstimate on power from it...i dont want to guess too high or low

haha i told him i would take it for him...my uncle said for him to take it and pretty much go half throttle for a run or so...and then push it a little more but dont have to go too crazy...it will probably have to wait till i inherit the beast...ill let you guys know when the car gets pushed a little.

lol that is how i am right now with my fc i am still scared of all the power i have added to my former "150" hp and "13x" tq now to 260 hp and 330 tq :) so i understand how he feels

Yeah, I am having a shop look over it right now to make sure there arent any safety hazards. This weekend I will start cleaning up the wiring and calibrate the dakota digital.

We should probably try to get people together in the spring since there are alot of people in the area that have the swap or are doing one. Maybe do it around an auto-x event. I would say track day but we are trying to save up for a house right now.

Yeah, we are behaving like paupers right now to save money. We cancled cable/internet at home as that is an extra grand + right there. The hard part is that, with the new restrictions on loans, we will need over 10% down and we are in Bergen Co. which means we need close to 45-60k for a down payment because you cant find anything less than 300k around here.
