(forgive me if this should've been in the photography section...i think its more about the product than the art of photos though so off topic seemed like a good place.)
After a recent robbery at my home, im out many things... one being the digital camera i just bought a few months ago. while im upset about it, i hated the camera anyway and bought it without consulting anyone or knowing anything.
so, now that i need a new one im asking for some advice first.
-Im not a pohotgrapher, nor do i have the time to learn.
- I do however enjoy taking photos, mainly of cars and things of that nature, so i need some that will take crisp decent pictures that i can edit to look somewhat good.
- it'd also be nice if it takes videos in a file type that someone that doesnt know much about computers like myself can easily convert or use to make small video compliations...basically simple videos with a bunch of clips edited together.
-i usually carry my camera around a lot so itd be nice if it was somewhat small, and sort of durable...
- i don't need really high tech stuff, i really just want to take pics and vids of cars, and of friends and family... mainly for personal use and posting on forums. i just dont want one that sucks as bad as the last camera i bought.
- as far as price, obviously i dont want to spend a ton, as the chances of me losing or breaking the thing are pretty good.... but i know i need to spend a decent amount to get one that works as well as i'd like.
- i know nothing about any techical terms, and really nothing about cameras at all.
-sorry if i sound like an idiot....i dont have many hobbies other than work and my cars so my knowledge outside of those two things isnt very broad.
thanks for reading and if anyone can steer me toward something that i dont hate, ill greatly appreciate it.
thanks guys!
