Went to the Autocrosser's Inc. Event #4 this past weekend and had a blast as always. It's nice to have the serious part of the season finished so that you can get a few "fun" events in to finish the year off. No more worrying about class points, just good clean fun and spending more time hanging out with people...the reason I got into this stuff.
Anyways, couldn't keep things as together as I would have liked. It was quite chilly this weekend, especially during the first heat. Needless to say, cold tires, cold surface, and dirty surface does not make for good grip. I was fighting oversteer all day and couldn't put together as fast a run as I wanted, but still managed a 49.3 which was good enough for 1st in STX and 21st in PAX, although a high 48.x where I should have been would have put me into the mid-teens. But such is life and definitely had fun as always.
Since there's not much else I can learn from the car in the last event of the season since it's getting an overhaul this winter, I'll be running Aaron's SM beast this weekend. I have a feeling that a turbo and 265 R-comps is going to be fun.
