I like the new STi more to be honest.

I looks like a real-concept car. If that makes any sense.

I like it though...with the right accents...that thing looks like a modern Night Rider.

What kind of #'s does this thing have?

Edit: I'm seeing anywhere between 190-240bhp through a 6spd.

ive heard that its about 250hp to the crank, so that means what...maybe 200-210 whp?

i personally like the mugen civic RR :p

The Honda Civic Mugen RR (based on the new JDM Honda Civic Type R) is limited to a total production run of 300 cars. Japanese track fiends with ¥4.7million to spend on a spiffy, street-legal time attack weapon are its target audience -- and a receptive one at that. On September 14th at 9:00 AM local time in Japan, reservations for Mugen's ultimate Type R officially began being taken. By 9:10 AM, according to the Japanese enthusiast site, Carview, the 300th reservation was placed. However you want to parse the numbers (we're sure additional reservations were taken, in case some prospective buyers bail out), one thing's certain: all 300 cars are spoken for well in advance of the expected January delivery date.

Those lucky enough to secure the Mugen RR receive a lighter, more powerful and track-tuned Civic Type R that in the right hands is capable of lapping Japan's Tsukuba circuit in 1:06:38. At least that's what the folks at Mugen were able to wring out of it. We're sure some of the car's buyers will be looking to top that number as soon as they have a chance. With this thing, life is a driving game, and Time Attack mode is always on.

^^^I agree with Chris, the EDM or Euro Civic Type R (the black hatch in the OP) is beginign to grow on my, but similar to the new Sti I'm not feeling the taillights. IMO it is probably my lieast favorite of the current Civic Type R's or variations of it.

1. Mugen Civic Type RR (of course the most expensive and rarest) Red sedan above
2. Honda Civic Type R (FD-2) White 4-dr sedan JDM only
3. and then the EDM Civic Type R Hatch back.

I'd much rather have the mugen rr. I like the front end of the type r but not so much the back. I'm sure it drives very well though. anyone know if the new type r was on Tsukuba circuit yet?

im with you 30k for a civic . . . come on . . . even if theyre limited to only a few . . . everyone with a new si is going to be buying up fake mugen **** to make theirs look like one in a few months when those knock off comp. come out with it . . . my point is you can get something better for your money for 30k and that RR is sick but honestly i dont see that coming here nor do i see the type r coming here america sucks for that reason

I know but all it's got is the bodykit, spoiler, sport tuned susension, exhaust w/chrome tip, shift knob, and an intake. My buddy said he asked the guy at Honda and he said it was exactly the same but I donno how true that could be if it has a "sport tuned suspension".

yes it might have a sport tuned sus. but honestly just buy a set of coils and you got yourself a "sport tuned sus."

it's a well balanced car, and it has things like good build quality, reliability, resale value. not that that matters to a lot of people.

$30 is to much for the Mugen civic if you ask me. I know it rare and all but really its not that much different then the Si's regarding performance. $30 for a New Civic Type R would make more sense to me, even thats alot for a civic though

As much as I hate the GT500, it's only 10-15K away at that point. 40K is absurd.
