I'm trying to organize an ALL OUT MEET for officer Charles Cassidy family. and i wanted to know if you would be willing to donate gift certificates or anything that we might be able to raffle off or give away. if so please Pm me with any offers. thanks

Charles Cassid is the officer who got shot in the head by the guy trying to rob the Dunkin D-nuts at 66th and broad. He died the next day and I don't think they have captured the guy yet but I think I heard they have identified the man who shot him.

yeah he was off duty and checking in at the dunkin donut shop and as soon as he opened the door he was shot right in the head. he has 3 kids one is a soph in high school and 2 more that are in college. they have not caught him yet but they did id him and have been posting his pic up all over the place. and as of now this looks like it will be more of a fund raising meet then a beef and beer. I'm working out the details now. but the donations of gift certificates or whatever you donate will be raffled off and the proceeds of that will go to the officers family

I think he is just trying to see if there is any interest in donating some parts or gift certificates, nothing definite here. Beef and beers are a great way to raise money. Usually it is held at a hall or banquet room of some sort. Hot roast beef or some other type of cheap food is provided along with copious amounts of beer. Everyone has a good time and is happy. In my experience, 20 dollars buys an entrance ticket. All proceeds go towards the cause ofcourse. And in many cases, donations are made on top of the entrance charge.

Officer Cassidy was a local officer around here, while I did not know him, many I know did. My little sister goes to Gwyned Mercy College with his two daughters. He was a soccer coach at father judge high school, one of the larger highschool in the northeast philadelphia area.

so far as it looks its going to be at the Whitman tavern on Rt 1 . not sure of the date yet I'm either looking at this sat afternoon or next sat from like 12pm to 5pm. and it will be donation of what ever the person wants to donate. I'm trying to get somethings to raffle off.i have a few things now but I'm trying to get some other stuff. the tavern is offering 1 drafts of miller light and another beer and drink special as well as half price apps and also a few gift certificates to raffle off too. no matter how much is raised it will still be something that will help the family out. I'm also in the works of getting a DJ out there for some entertainment
