thats right you can now have your vf series turbo upgraded to a 18g

if you have a serviceable VF series turbo but looking for more horsepower capability? Let us upgrade upgrade your existing VF-22/23/30/34/36/37/39 turbo or a brand new replacement to either an 18G (40 lb/min)
we use blouch turbo they are very local so turn around time will be rather quickly. price ranges from 350

depending on the core, if your turbo is in perfect condition then is 350

polished compressor housing option is 95.00

i thought one of the biggest limiting factors on the vf39 was the housing?

10-30-2007, 09:39 AM
the housing gets completely ported and redone

10-30-2007, 09:41 AM
word up... whats the expected gains?

10-30-2007, 09:43 AM
also the turbine is the limited factor on the vf39

the 18g makes about 30 whp over stock (in a vf39)

not bad for 350.00

10-30-2007, 03:38 PM
meh.. gotta do this soon

What can you guys do for a VF-43? Maybe I'll get a little extra work done to it since I'm gonna wait until spring to put my upgrades in.

I had blouch Upgrade my VF30 last year. I can say that this is a very nice upgrade for the IHI turbos. I had it clipped and ported with an 18g wheel. turn around was less than 3 days from the day I SENT the turbo to the day it was back on my door step. Here are some pictures of the turbo after I got it back and a dyno chart from what I made on this turbo. (Note turbo is clipped so the power comes on a bit late and we only reved the car to 6500 rpm redline is 7000)

now would this be bad on a stock 2005 trans?

Ray, how would this work with a VF34? Im considering picking up a VF34 and doing this. ANd how comparable do you think it would be to my Big 16g?

12-03-2008, 04:56 PM
i say keep your 16g,

12-03-2008, 05:00 PM
If you talk to your guy then, Its a Bullseye (Borg Warner) 16g turbo. I really think the center section should be the same. Stupid coolant lines.

Its just got my attention at polished compressor lol

The VF34 is ball bearing but the same housing as the vf30 so if you wanted to do this get a vf30 it would be cheap and you wouldn't be hacking up a vf34 that some other person could use.

yeo thats why i told him to keep the 16g he has

If stock injectors are maxed out at stage 2, I would assume that you would need an injector upgrade. Now if I'm running the meth kit with a bigger than usual nozzle, would this compensate for the extra fuel that this turbo would need and thus spare me of getting new injectors?

12-04-2008, 10:56 AM
you will need 650cc on an sti for this turbo

12-04-2008, 11:09 AM
i have this done through ray and it certainly pulls harder than stock

12-04-2008, 11:37 AM
Yea but injectors... after spending so much on this fart can I still run into walls power wise:mad:

Meh stock turbo it is for now.

12-04-2008, 11:41 AM
i'm on stock injectors

12-04-2008, 06:10 PM
