Gauging interest in a meet at my place next weekend. Could include a cruise, gaming, bbq, whatever, just no ass hattery! Let me know what you think.
Already been posted on NASIOC and IWSTI and it looks like we might have about 3 or 4 guys interested so far. Plan on this going down on Saturday the 6th.
So far its all Subaru's, but everyone is welcome.

Where are you looking to do this at?

Dover would be my choice. I've got a house here and would be able to have a grille, parking for quite a few cars (there's an empty church parking lot behind my house) and fairly easy access to pretty good cruising roads like Rt9.

yeah, I am kinda familiar with the dover area, I was just down there at the mall earlier today.

Plan is still on for Saturday. It looks like nice weather, so we can plan on it being outside. We can grill up some food, and hang out till the wee hours of the morning if you want. My house is currently under a bit of a remodel, but I should be able to bring the 360 and HDTV outside to the garage (manrage?) if people wanna play forza, guitar hero, or other games. I would plan on it starting around noon. If this is cool I will firm everything up and post it again tomorrow.
We've currently got a pretty good bit of interest from NASIOC as well as a couple people on here, and a couple locals that I know offline. This should be a good opportunity to get to know some of the other gearheads around DE.
Again, I stress: I have a good relationship with my neighbors, but if people are revving engines, speeding, blasting music, or doing anything but being courteous to my neighbors, I will have to ask you to leave. I don't mean to be rude, but I do need everyone to act like grownups.
Thanks.

Yea, old like me.
Guess I need to stay in touch so I dont lose track of whats going on.
As for the car, it's pretty much history. I parted some of it out on the forums, and the rest of it I finally just listed on ebay the other day. 10k miles in 4-5 years is pretty sad.

Slappy, when are you gonna be getting together with your buddies? I'm fairly sure that I'd fit in with your group (except the drifting part, AWD and drifting don't really go together very well) and I think it would be fun to meet some like minded people.

Hey man , you dont have to be a super JDM TyTe drifter to hang out with us man. Just be a decent down to earth cat , and you will be welcome with no problems. If i would've seen this post , i wouldve told you to meet us at Timothy's Bar in Newark DE tonight. But we have meets from time to time in Dover also. Next time we have a meet , i will shoot you a PM , or shoot you a text if you wanna PM me you cell #. Sound ok?

taken from your link....
We are all between the ages of 24-32. We're not looking to hang out with any 16 year olds(no offence) or people in general that are into drugs , starting trouble , driving dangerously near innocent motorist , drifting near or where we meet without permission , FWD burn outs , and doing stupid ****. We're not interested in hanging out with ricers , street racers ,
haha

Not saying I'm a fan of burnouts on public roads, but how is a burnout in a FWD car anymore "ricer" than a RWD burnout?

We dont do burnouts!!!!!!!! period!!
We meet , hangout for a bit , wait for everyone to show , talk cars , meet new people , then go to dinner. Or , if we are all at an event , we do what we do.

I bet if I rolled up in a fat Drag Radial, jumped on the 2-step and did a 3rd gear burnout, you guys would all jump in your 240's and start doing donuts around light poles.

Yea that was us. Those meets went on strong for almost 5 years , and some noobs showed up , turned out to be shady , and ruined it for all of us. But , things happen for a reason i guess. It made the group alot tighter and closer. No more BS goes on.
Thats now why our meets are either at our friends houses , at events , or if we do meet at the shopping center , its immediately out to dinner. Gives less time for assholes to find us , and wanna hang out with us.

I beleive youre the sensitive one actually. If you weren't sensitive you wouldn't get all sandy vagina about the "fwd burnout" comment. I'm sure we'd all love to see your burnout, because really, that's what car guys are about. Impressing other men, right? Here's an idea, when you read a thread looking for "mature" gearheads, just understand that nobody was talking to you and keep moving.

I like your avatar too, but did you buy AWD because you cant master then fine balance of applying power coming out of a turn? Or was it because you like getting passed by a FWD 1/2 way down the track going 25-30mph faster than you?

In all honesty, I bought an STi because I like the WRC and therefore became quite a fan of Subarus. Plus its a damn good all around car. I certainly didn't buy it to drag race.
Why did you buy your FWD? So you could spend a fortune to run 11s? Or was it because your parents wouldn't let you buy a real car?

i didn't say i do that crap. i admit...i used to. but after going to the track a few times last year, i definately prefer that action and than anything on the street. this year i'll definately become a track junkie and i'll most likely be there every other weekend.

I would like to be there every weekend, but unless I find about $1200 for some axles I am stuck running on DR's and stock axles, and thats a real bitch.

well atleast you can run DR's with your stock axles. stage 2 axles for my car from the driveshaft shop is $800, which i personally dont think that is too much. i'll be looking to get them in the summer along with some nitto 555Rs. at the moment i'm looking into getting some KDWs for my aftermarket rims.
