I don't know about you guys, but all driving games have been pretty "blah" to me since GT2/GT3. They need to improve things further because the driving games are just turning into Maddens for me. Same game, just added graphics and cars.

I will admit that GT series feels much better than any other game out there, but GT4 was awful and a step back for them. Still not enough to make me shell out money for a PS3.

Also, i do like forza better than the gt series simply because the damage on the cars are as realistic as the real world. Also customization is very much better than any gt game released or going to be released.

Xbox live is waaaay better than PSN. xbox has a much better layout than psn and not to mention tons of things to download. im sure u can do the same with ps3 but i think the originator of the console harddrives have this online community very stable. 6 million xbl subscribers! yea it sucks right? lol.

also, the button layout is alot better. i like the trigger buttons as my gas and brakes. unlike ps its always been x and square. kinda got on my nerves especially when my buttons would break and it would sink into the controller. uggh, i hated those days.

Don't get me wrong folks, i like the gt series and all, i'm sure this next one will be a hit. but i'll stick with forza and pro street when it comes out.

you can set the buttons to be whatever you want and have no consequences since dualshock 2 and sixaxis controllers are fully analog. and after the anal rape of subscription i should damned well hope XBL is better than PSN

i played gt hd or whatever it is on ps3 and omfg i loved it. and whoever thinks gt4 is gt3 with better graphics is dumb. the physics changed drastically. in gt3 i was able to drift anything rwd with ease. gt4 i can even drift super speedway. and playing the demo i played like i always play, fly into the turn and brake at the last moment. yea that doesnt work anymore.

Are you saying that because you can use some name-brand parts? The only thing I think is cooler about Forza is you can do engine swaps, like 3S-GTE's into AE86's and rotaries into Miata's. I also like that tire pressure is available in Forza. Otherwise, I like EVERYTHING about GT more... mainly the way the cars handle and how many more are available.

That preview, even if it's CGI, looks nuts. This is why I haven't bought either of the new systems yet.

IGN.com have confirmed new aspects of the game and it's release (their information from Sony). The game will be released in two versions. One on the PlayStation Store and one on Blu-Ray Disc. The Blu-Ray Disc version has been confirmed to include damage, whereas the PS Store version will be without damage. On the other hand, the PS Store version will prevail from quicker loading times. The PS Store version will not be free and will probably be priced slightly cheaper than the Blu-Ray version because of the lack of features that the Blu-Ray version includes. Sony/IGN have also said that the European release date of the game will be sometime in 2007. This is strange because North America has not even been considered for release so far. Only Japan and Europe have had confirmed release dates

well like 8 months back SCC did a write up on GT and its producer and he was like, if we do add damamge it would add yrs to the design stage of gt5.....i took that as a hint....

Winner. I can't justify buying a PS3 for 1 game. Sony has yet to impress my with the PS3 and it's lack of support/games.

anyway, id rather have a video game that the cars sound the way they do in real life, even when modded, than have real damage...

imo no one has gotten engine sounds down right yet, i dont see whats so hard, record the noise, load it onto cd, whats the big deal?

especially when u start modding the cars, they dont sound like anything.....and thats all video games, the ones who got it close was the last nfs, which is shame bc that game series is in no way anything involving the word "real" (they had good BOV noises, thats as close as anyones gotten, not real engine sounds)

imo all video games fail until they get real engine sounds, bc its the least hardest thing to do,. instead of obsessing over tire pressure lets start recording engine sounds....

wheres my rx7 with 500 hp at full scream at 10k?......no ones captured it....

No they haven't gotten engine sounds down..the muscle cars weren't really on, and every skyline more or less sounded the same lol
