Looking for some car shots for website...

Don't worry, this will not compete with this site...

I've had an idea for a car related site for some time and am looking to get some photography to use in banners and what not.

Images will be altered to be used on the site, cut apart, added together, etc. All photographers will be placed on a credit page that includes links to personal websites and most likely will include a thumbnail of the unedited picture.

I'm not asking for just professionals.

I'm still unsure how they will be used in the logo, the banners, or whatever will be placed on the site. I do not intend to purchase banner space elsewhere to market the site.

I realize I'm being vague here, but I won't let the car out of the bag until the site is finished and live. If at that point you don't like what I've done with the images, or how I've given credit, I will remove your contributions.

What kind of car are you looking for? What look do you want the picture to have? Industrial? scenic?

Any type, more than likely I'll be pulling the vehicle out of the scene and using its outline. I've got an idea for the logo that consists of "cartoonish" style renderings of vehicles.

Any vehicles will do.

If I could get a shot of a bunch of cars kind of in a half moon set-up that'd kick ass too. I appreciate all the help guys. When I'm looking for some content, IE: car blogs, build stories, etc, anyone that contributed will get first dibs to write something.

Hopefully this will work out as intended... :-) I hope to have the official launch date by January and will want to have some content by then.

And Troll, when I have the main component of this website done I'm going to be in contact with you to help kick it off ;-)

for future image "submissions" please send me an e-mail with an attachment of the e-mails, the name you want listed in the credits (your name or company name), website and/or e-mail address. No vehicle specifics are required. Vehicles can be of any age, shape, size. Cars and trucks requested. Group and single shots needed. I prefer day shots as they will be easier to work with. One credit per photo: IE: if you send a photo with 10 cars in it, there will be only 1 credit listed on the credits page.

The images I use will be modified for the logo and you may or may not recognize your vehicle when all is said and done. Car blogs/story will be offered to those people whose images were used first as a thank you for the help. Blogs/stories on the site are going to be very very very limited, as that is not the purpose of the website.

This is an exciting idea that I hope everyone will find useful once its up and running. I'll need a lot of word-of-mouth advertising once things go live as I don't have money to advertise... yet. Thank you to everyone offering me images to use!!!!

probably easier to grab a few photographers at the next meet, get a few cars, and stage whatever shots you're looking for. unless you ask for specific shots, you'll probably never get what your vision is set on.

be specific, such as "I want a shot of a turbo in the engine bay" or "a shot of your shift knob" or "exterior shot, day time, front-quarter angle, clean horizon reflection on the paint" yada yada yada

while that would be easier.... I'm in hershey, so not many meets that I know of for TST. I could call WREvolution and see if they'd be interested in helping out

Ok, I agree with I Like Rice to get something organized to get a single shot of what I want, lol. These pictures are great and I appreciate all the support, and will def be using some of the pictures if and when I can.

If someone is going to be available in the Philly region to set up a shot for me, PM me. Or if anyone in the Hershey/Central PA area can help out in the next couple weeks that'd be killer. I've decided to use more than just the cars, I'd like some people in the shot too.
