My eclipse, well, broke again, and now i spent another 300$ to get it fixed. I made a deal, I am never driving it again, its gettin fixed and going on autotrader and sitting for sale. Ive done 3-4K in maintnence over the last 6 months.

So what I have as an option, is my Moms G6 GT. Shes looking into getting the newer G8 or whatever it is lol. So she has half of her G6 paid off, and I could take over the payments for 35$ more then my eclipse, and its 8 years newer and a great car. The only thing I dont like about it, is it is Auto. But that doesnt really bother me like it used to. There is 3 years left on the warranty, and thats a big upside. And that 3,000$ sunroof helps to lol.

Do it. Why continue to spend money on a car with no upsides when you could have a nearly new car with a warranty and no mechanical problems?

I guess they moved erything up, she said shes pushing for the 6 speed. If not shell get the auto. Yea, she pretty much ordered it, shes juss waiting for me to fix my eclipse. My moms awsome wit cars, she had an old school supra, and a Trans Am, so she likes all the sport stuff. Its cool that she got that 3k sunroof on her G6, its pretty muich the entire roof lol. Ive always loved pontiacs bc there reliable and take a beating. And the G6 actually has some pop to it. Once more mods come out, theyll be nice. It doesnt fall to far behind with WRX's

Those panoramic sunroofs are crap. They make so much noise its not even funny. Whenever we had a G6 in the shop everyone would run and hide because 90% we people complaining of the creeking sounds the panels make. If GM would have done it right its really awesome when open. My girls X3 has the same thing but its 2 solid pieces of glass instead of the 4 panels GM used.

Hmm, hers doesnt make noise? Ive been driving it this last week, i mean you can hear it, but whats that matter, it doesnt make anything realllly loud. Idk. Its an awsome feature.

do it...you have had nothing but problems with that eclipse of yours...why not get rid of it, get something better, drive it for a while and see where you're at when the dust settles. i am in the middle of debating on selling my car now, or in the spring for an sti or evo, or e36 m3

I mainly asked to see if people knew of problems with them like the sunroof.

I love the car, its comfy as hell, still sporty, good system and is loaded. The performence of the car as well isn't that bad. Ill actually prolly save money in the long run due to the eclipses monthly, excuse me, weekly, problems. There's some performence options avalible to. Like minor bolt ons. And I'd love to see if lowerd on some wheels with a dish.

Yea, idk if the automatic will get to me eventually. Til the warrantys out, there will be a lot of mods for the car. And pontiacs hold there value. Plus there's only 32k on it as it sits.
