i have a 95 civic hatch and i am doing some work on the suspension(stock) i am trying to fix the pas. side lower ball joint. i have the new one but i cant get the old one out. has anyone ever done it before? i went to autozone and rented the press but it does not seem to be the right tool for the job. any ideas?

take a big hammer and a punch, should come out easily, also make sure you have the snap ring out. I've done 100's of honda ball joints and the pair never takes me over 15 min

95 should have a snap ring. air hammer would be ideal, but short of that, and if you're doing it on the ground it would probably be easiest to take the knuckle off the car. then hammer them out.

use a hammer crap why did i not think of that i was try'n to press them out. i was about to put some heat on it but did not want to mess up the bearings. i ended up going to a local shop and he charged me $30 to take out the old one and put in the new one. now next time i will know what to do. thanks for the help guys.
