I just went to WaWa to fill'er up with my usual 93 in my WRX and teh gas station attendant informs me that they dropped 93 about month ago and replaced it with 92....WTF! This really blows because I'm running the 94 Octane Cobb map and Shell dropped 94 long ago and now WaWa is dropping 93.
This blows!

If you are filling at a bargain pump, chances are the octane rating is lower than posted anyway.

WaWa is like the only gas station anywhere near my house.
Only option is drivng about 20 minutes away.

can you flash to a lower rated map? the whole ethanol percentage in our fuel is messing with stuff already... emissions are going to get tighter and tighter and its going to make driving performance cars harder and harder

I guess were gonna be just like California in a few more years and be stuck with sh**ty gas :(
I can flash a lower octane map....I just gotta pickup a new COBB AP cable since I bork3d mine.

The 20 minute drive is worth it to get away from the wawa gas. That stuff leaves residue in your engine.

Yeah I know, I'm just worried that other gas stations are going to follow suit too. Gonna suck if you can't get anything but 91 like Calif. Blah!

Don't fill up when you're empty, fill up when you are going home or going to work.

as much as it seems like brand name gas stations are just trying to get business by scaring you away from cheap gas, it's 100% true, WaWa and the like have horrible gas no matter what octane. it sucks, the very few times i've absolutely had to get gas anywhere besides the local sunoco, my car pinged, stuttered, jerked, you name it. it got so bad one time that i actually had to siphon out every drop that would come out, and fill with sunoco 94 (when they still had it) before it would go back to driving normal. it's kind of ridiculous considering the fact that my engine is basically stock, but JDM. I/H/E, and that's pretty much it. i can't imagine the rest of you guys who actually have tuned ECU's, turbo upgrades, etc.

I noticed that WaWa got rid of 93 like 2 seconds before I started filling up with 92

I'm just glad Sunoco still has 93 and it's only 2 cents a gallon more than 91. And if I felt adventurous I could drive to Painter's Crossing and get 100 from the Sunoco there. For $8.49 a gallon or whatever assrape they want to charge.

Wawa doesn't refine their own gas, they just buy overage. It could be good, it could be crap.
I guess they started buying premium overage as low as 92 octane... so they had to re-sticker their pumps.

I stop at a Wawa every morning for my breakfast sandwich.
If I'm low on gas, I go 5 minutes out of my way to swing by an Exxon first... THEN I swing by Wawa for my sandwich.
