This is the rack we are getting. It is equipped to handle
tuned cars special alignment needs for racing and modified suspension cars.
http://www.mocomracing.com/dbimages/MR400offfrWinAlign9.JPG
We are offering alignments to everyone no matter what the application. Wether you just need your car to be aligned so it drives straight or you are intending to roadcoarse, drift, autocross or any racing and need the most out of your car we are here for you. Every car will be able to get aligned nomatter how low or how many aftermarket parts.
One of the most common results of lowering the height of a vehicle is bump steer. This is the result of a lack of parallelism in the steering linkage. Basically what happens is your cars natural geometry is changed so much from being lowered when you hit a bump the cars alignment changes and can make the car dart in directions you're not pointing it.
Another problem is tire wear. Most people just buy parts and install them. The problem with this is that once installing new parts your alignment will change. Excess Toe and Camber being two big issues. Toe will scrub the tread off the inside or outside of your tires. If it is off enough it can eat threw new tires in no time. Camber can also be a problem if it is in excess. Camber is useful when set right to use the most tire when driving hard. If it is wrong the tire will wear on an angle. The combination of both can be very expensive when you need new tires. An alignment can fix these issues before it is to late. Not to mention it is dangerous to drive a car un aligned because the car may become very unstable and unpredictable at speed.
http://www.hunter.com/pub/product/alignmentsystems/5118T/images/toework2.jpg
When modifying the height of a vehicle, the affect on the vehicle’s toe can be dramatic.
http://www.hunter.com/pub/product/alignmentsystems/5118T/images/camber.jpg
A vehicle lowered by 1” will experience a camber change of approximately -.84°,
whereas a vehicle lowered by 3” will experience approximately a -3.86° camber change.
(Actual numbers may vary depending on your cars suspension geometry.)
Our machine is the newest version they offer and has many great features not even offered for last years model. It is super bad ass and can do anything we need to do. If you have aftermarket suspenion on your car we have the special equipment to have it dialed in how it should be. If you just want your car to be low and look good and you need your alignment set so you do not waste tires. We can do that. If you want your car to handle the best it can in any type of racing we can set it up for that too. The special features we have with this rack that allow us to do special alignments for tuned cars are as follows;
Electronic Vehicle Ride Height Measurement System: Which allows us to set your coilovers to equal levels.
Electronic Corner Weighting: This allows us to balance your cars weight by adjusting the suspension. It makes sure each wheel has the same amount of weight on the ground. Or you can shift the weight where you need it. Doing this makes the car easier to handle and allows you to make faster lap times.
Integrated Bump Steer Measurement System: Basically this system moves the car through its suspension travel to see where the numbers move and if you're getting bump steer. Then we can get the proper parts to fix the issue.
Lazer Sensors: You don't have to remove bumpers like you do on some other types of machines.
Special Adapters: Safe for all wheel types. Won't leave scratches.

my dream come tru!
ppl dont kno how important a good alignment is! ill be needin the full blown aligment and corner balance each spring when i get new tires. u guys did it for me about 2 months ago sans the corner balance so this spring when u guys do my new tires ill ask to have it aligned and corner balanced then.....im so excited! maybe i can twist pats arm and make him give me -2.5 front camber and -2.0 rear instead of my -2 and -2 setup now, i forsee much higher cornering speeds for next year, thus needing more camber!!!!!! yay for proper alignments!!!!!!!
i have been waiting for this! now i have to actually install my coilovers!

I'm interested in getting aligned for better handling in turns. I'm getting a good amount of understeer
going into turns now, and it looks like when I had the car aligned when I installed the coilovers they
just tried to zero everything out and I ended up with positive camber in the front.
Here's my suspension set-up
Suspension:
Tein Flex Coilovers
TIC Fender Braces
Whiteline Steering Rack Bushings (to be installed)
Perrin 25mm Adjustable Front Sway Bar
Perrin 25mm Adjustable Rear Sway Bar
Perrin Front Endlinks
Perrin Rear Endlinks
Shawn, could you pm me a price and date you could do this? Thanks!

So if I brought you a car with some big wheels and fat tires and said I wanted them to fit, then told you I wanted -3 degrees camber up front, -2 degrees in the rear, and 0 toe all the way around you could do that? And I don't have to take my bumper and splitter off?
My search if finnally over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Vince@R/TTuning
09-05-2007, 11:17 AM
^^^^ as long as you have the suspension components to allow us to adjust it...we could do it
subwrxkid
09-05-2007, 05:25 PM
Yes, I definately will. Cusco zero 2r coilovers most like, maybe Zeal. Can't choose.
For the rear, they don't have camber plates. So to adjust the camber what do I need in the rear, camber bolts? Also, what do I need to adjust the toe?
Shawn@R/Ttuning
09-05-2007, 06:26 PM
Well if you need the extra adjustment we can get you arms that will make the car more adjustable as well as stronger. It will make the rear end more predictable. As well as those show points if thats what your looking for.
subwrxkid
09-05-2007, 06:33 PM
What adjustable arms are you reffering to? No need for show points, it's going to be a full-blown track car with a nice paint job. LOL
Shawn@R/Ttuning
09-05-2007, 06:39 PM
We can get most any. I know cusco makes some for sure.
subwrxkid
09-05-2007, 06:44 PM
Yeah, they do but I am sponsored by cusco so if you tell me what I need, then I can just scoop that from them.
Shawn@R/Ttuning
09-05-2007, 06:50 PM
In that case get all the suspension arms they will give you. If this is going to be a track car you want to get rid of all the rubber bushings. Makes it more predictable.

09-15-2007, 01:39 PM
^^^ it is brents car...shawn posted it up and he didnt know...but as far as the alignment, as many adjustable arms that you can get would be the best, u will def need rear lower toe arms and rear upper control arms and front tension rods and we can pretty much set you alignment anyway ya need. If youy wnted to get the rear traction arms you could get those to but its not nessary...if you have any questions just call the shop 215 855 5565 thanx

I had a chance to test the alignment out on the strip today, all I have to say is that the car is VERY stable @ high speeds!
Usually when the tires would spin in 3rd gear the car would go sideways. tonight it still spun 3rd but instead of kicking out it stayed perfectly straight so I was able to stay in it, bang 4th, and take it all the way to redline which is something I've never done on street tires before.
awesome work!

I have driven Ivans car before and after the alignment and it has made a world of difference. He put on coilovers and before the car was aligned it felt very unstable at speed and pulled all over. After the alignment it is much easier to control and goes where you point it. The alignment also saved his tires. Ya for drifting a WRX.

Had the car out today for practice at Summit Point and everything felt great. We'll see how it goes tomorrow when I'm really pushing it. All I need to do now is move my battery to the right rear and I'll be 1/10 of a percentage from ideal corner weight.

Hey Guys,
I talked to Vince on the phone yesterday about getting my 2001 Prelude aligned, corner balanced, and adjusting height of the coilovers. I would like to work out a price. Vince said I will also need some upper control arms and I was thinking about some wheels. I'm looking at the enkei racing series, possibly 17" Rs7 in bronze, but i'm open to suggestions. I would like to keep the price for wheels and tires around $1000 or so. Just let me know what you think. One more quick question, what is the need for upper control arms? Never really heard of needing those for an alignment. Are they needed to adjust camber?
Thanks,
Glen

Hey guys,
I need an alignment done, but not sure if it would be under four wheel alignment. I replaced my rack and pinion about a year ago, and had Firestone do an alignment. However, they did not center the rack and steering wheel. They used the tie rod ends to center everything. So now the ball joints are at their limit. From what I know, the rack is centered alone and then the steering wheel is centered after replacing the rack, which is what Firestone neglected to do.
So how much would it cost to do this type of alignment? I am just planning my expenses out ahead of time so this may not be for another month or two.
Thanks.
