Had a nice Forester in this morning for a tune. I would call this a Stage 2 light setup. He has a Mad Dad header and up pipe, 3 in bellmouth down pipe, stock center section and a axel back muffler. Run 1 is with the Cobb OTS map, and Run 13 is my ProTuned map. Final boost was set to 14.5psi.

I love the damn Foresters. It would have to be decked out in STi trim for me, but they are just crazy. On the dyno the things are out of control, with as much suspension travel as they have, the front end lifts about 8 inches when peak torque hits, its hilarious.

yeah I've been in talks with one of my customers (actually the Baja guy) who works at a local Subaru dealership. I want an 08 XT sports in WRB sooooooooooooooooooooooo bad!!

Power-wise, what is different between the Forester and the STi motors? I dont know and I'm curious...

heads dont have AVCS either I don't think and cams are probably smaller

I dont know the specifics on what the differences are but from tuning I can tell you that, they do have AVCS, the cams are not as aggressive, the turbo is smaller, and it seems to have less compression since I could run 30*+ of timing up top with no knock. I ended up running less timing up top than the OTS map, but made more power with roughly the same boost.

On our dyno at 19+/- 1 psi an STi at stage 2 will make between 295-315whp and 345-360wheel torque. The Forester at 14.5 psi did 250whp and 295 whee torque. A Forester with a VF39 should be able to get faily close to the STi torque numbers, but with out the cams, they will fall a little short up top.

And Ryan, I love the 08 sports also, they do look bad ass.
