You should FIRST get a clue.

Then header/exhaust setup.

original poster: such a broad question isnt goign to get a very useful response. get a little more detailed with what you're looking for and maybe you'll get some useful responses.

I used to own am '04 Spec V so I can speak from a little experience here...but yeah, this is a WICKED general question. What should you do first for cosmetic, performance, etc...? When I had mine, I installed a Hotshot header, Nismo CAI and Nismo cat-back and the car pulled a little harder and sounded MUCH better. Next do some suspension work, maybe some wheels and a lip kit and call it a day. If you want more power than that, there are quite a few companies that now offer a nice turbo kit for it. Turbo kits were kind of slim pickings when I had mine.

Oh, and by the way, if it's an '02-'03 I would definately get an aftermarket header because on those 2 years they had a problem with the precat (cat in the header) getting sucked back up into the block blowing the motor. Although, I don't know if they ever made that an official recall or not.

Exhaust is always some thing good to start with. I've heard Greddy Evo2 and Nismo types on Spec-v's and they sound great.

there was three companies that offered turbo kits for the 04.

like my user name says i have a 2004 turbo spec and the best mod you can do is sell yours and buy mine.

Heres what you want to do. The best power/sound for your money is the Megan Racing header, Greddy EVO2 exhaust and the NISMO CAI. Its not ricey at all and compliments the car very very well. I had almost that setup on my 02 and it was fast and sounded good.

For suspension you don't need much to make it hold hard. Megan Racing springs and the NISMO rear sway and you are gold. I still miss mine over my WRX.

I didnt see your little caption. Cams would really be your next best thing and then some tuning. F/I is good and all but I don't consider it reliable. Even though I'm sure Greg will dissagree lol. Problem with the Spec-V is that its not all that fast, but like the NSX it more than makes up for it in handling and as a daily driver if thats what it is, it should be more than enough fun. But if you are really looking to make alot of power you are in the wrong car.
