Ok, after fully playing both the Bioshock demo and the Stranglehold demo. Im left feeling...ugh. Both games, while exciting titles, just didn't do it for me. Bioshock is a amazing looking game. The graphics and water effects are stunning. The gameplay took alittle getting used to and Im sure the full version will take longer once you add in all the other things you'll be able to do. Stranglehold wasn't really exciting to me. The whole bullet time thing is old to me and the gameplay wasn't fun. It might have been just the demo but it seems like a title I wouldn't even rent. If I don't sell my Xbox Ill more then likely pickup Bioshock.

On stranglehold the bullet time thing has been done before in games like Max Payne so that's nothing new. The thing I do like is every surface that is waste high on your character can be slid across and the quick deaths for enemies are cool too. The Bioshock demo is right up my alley and I just finished it, awasome game so far.

The bioshock demo is interesting. It seems like the gameplay is alittle fast for the controls (the way you have to switch hands prior to using that hand's ability ie weapon-vs-plasmid). The idea of let me inject this into my arm so I can use magic is pretty...um...yeah. If I am assuming correctly, that will be the exact way the game starts (I hope not, since there's very little introduction as to what's going on...although that might be the point for immersion).

Im curious as to how the story unfolds, so Ill probably get it just to understand where it's going.

Stranglehold ont he other hand seems like a game Ill forget exists.

In total different news, I just finished The Darkness, and I'm hoping they make a sequel, because I enjoyed that thoroughly.

Downloading both Stranglehold and Bioshock now.

God I hope Stranglehold lives up to being the "gaming sequel" it claims to be.

the thing is...with the injecting yourself with the enhancements plays well with the storyline bc everyone uses them to mutate themselves and enhance their bodies...i.e. splicers and guardians. it may be an inconvenience to have to inject yourself but think about it from the stories perspective. i can't wait for the game to come out...i have my money ready to go for it.

I just finished playing the demo.....damn, was it generous. I took at least an hour to get through it on medium, but I like to walk around and pick up every little thing. The graphics are awesome. I'll definitely be missing homework assignments on my first week of the academy due to this game, lol.

The part where the big daddy has his way with the splicer was great.

I played it and ehhhhhhh idk. That girl walking around poking dead people's bellys saying they are angels and she wants their lights is a bit disturbing. On top of those zombie whatcha-call-its running around stabbing the little girls.

Forgot to mention...it gave me the feeling of that PC Game from way back in the day Myst. You just have weapons and have to kill in BioShock.

That's EXACTLY what I thought it played like. An old PC game.

Clunky targeting, strange timesplitters style character design, scripted as hell, and no replay value.

It was still a smooth game with a cool story that should keep you busy for a week or two. But that's about it.

Single player shooters are dead. Online Co-op or bust.
