So I had a set of 350Z wheels lying around that, they came with my S13 coupe and have been sitting at work. On Tuesday I picked up a 91 RX-7, and I am guessing it's a GT-U based solely on the 5 lug/bigger caliper setup. I could be way off, but that's another story.

Anyway, I wanted to try to see if my Z wheels would fit on the 7 because, seriously, who rolls on 15's. As it turns out they do. Currently I am running 215/45ZR17 in the front and rear, but I will be swapping on 235/45ZR17's onto the rear, because there is a TON of room back there.

I should probably mention I have NOT driven the car yet, so I am not sure about the tires rubbing on turns, and that you have to remove the Nissan centercap to fit the fronts on there. I will take the car for a ride shortly and report back.

Cheap take-off's FTW!!

yea figured they would fit. Some nissans take your 15s and use them since they are so light. Believe it or not mustang cobra rims would fit to since i was using their rotors on my old maxima.

Nice.

So I took the car out to a parking lot and checked the clearance with the wheel cut all the way, left and right. No rubbing. w00t.

And then I proceded to tap a curb parking the car. Apparently they stick out further. a derr.

There is a ton of room back there. I clear 255/50R16 Mickey's with no problems. I've heard of people running 275's without having to roll the fender.

I'll have to get with you this Sunday to check it out and maybe we can figure out what model you have there. What color is it?

LoL..At your last post^ Sucks..

I'll post up pics as soon as I get the 235's on there. I am just glad the offset is correct and that I can lose the 15's. It looks like you can probably run a 9" or 9.5" wheel back there easy. Definately opens up the shopping options a little.

Jerry, I'll be in Allentown most of the day Sunday getting my final dives in for my SCUBA cartification.
