Does anybody know of a place that can do an alignment on a lowered car in the S. Jersey area? I called tires plus and STS and they both said they cant do it, and that i need to find somebody with a "newer" machine (whatever that means). Something to do with the way that their racks are set up. Its been almost 500mil since i lowered the car and i dont want to thrash my tires. I can see a very slight wear pattern starting to show on the rear tires. If anybody knows of a place, please let me know. Thanks!

do you have rear camber adjustment? i know on WRXs you need to buy rear camber bolts because stock it doesnt have any adjustment. if its the same situation with the STi you should definitely get some rear camber bolts.
and about where to go... each one is probably different, but NTB (national tire and battery) around me is real cool with aligning my lowered car and putting it to my own custom specs. they also have a hell of a deal where you can get unlimited alignments for 1 year for $90, 3 years for $140, and 5 years for $170. I got the 3 year thing about 8 months ago or so and I've been in there twice so far and am about to go back in again before the AutoX at the end of the month.

you should get them on your own cause they are car specific. i have eibach rear camber bolts. there are NTBs all over the place so see if your local one is cool like mine and will align your car.
also be careful getting up on the rack. my car barely barely made it with the stock bumper and no lip at all after i put my coilovers on.

Go to lowes or homedepot and get some 2X8 lumber and have them cut it to 12" sections. Bring 4 of them when you get the car aligned. Most times the alignment shops have them but they are either beat or busted or what not.
If you care about the way your car looks underneath it is cheap insurance. Just make sure to put them down in front of the machine yourself.

I went to stienmans wheel and frame over on rt 130, they did a great job. They do alignments and frame work all day as well custom alignment settings. And yes they have lumber to get your car up on the lift. It cost me about 130 bucks.

yeah, i'm sure they do a good job, but i got lucky and found a guy who cares enough to get my car where i want it and it cost me $130 too... except its for an unlimited number of times over 3 years.

I brought mine to Chuck at the Firestone in the Oxford Valley mall parking lot. Cost me around $60. He was very meticulous and did a great job. I get to bring it back again with in 6 months and have it redone if I want.

the firestone i went to offers a lifetime alignment service, but their alignment machine was different from what i've seen before...
all you do is place the car on the rack and they read it that way
also they were very incorrect with their readings... it showed nothing out of spec!!! i am really negative in camber too...
went to my friend at sears and they fixed it right away... he is on cottman and castor ave
