new engine... what about the new trans?

I am looking to buy an bone stock 89' 240 sx with around 100,000 miles. so one of the first things i will do is switch out the motor with a new Ka then turbo that. sould I switch the trans out also? because I want everything to break in evenly. suggestions please.

Check the wear of the trans.. But id say while your in there replace the clutch.
Are you going to be building the KA?

I'm pretty sure the trans is the same whether it was attached to a ka-e or a ka-de. So you should be fine using that trans, just check it first like the other guy said.

And let me know if you need any KA parts. I have enough parts to put together at least 2 engines, and tons of spare parts plus a brand new clutch that I'm trying to get rid of. So let me know.
