Don't you think a roll will be enough? It definitely looks like you're rubbing at that ride height but with a 7" wheel (225mm tires?) I don't see why a roll wouldn't solve that. Have you gotten an alignment with the coilovers? Camber is hard to get since you're on wagon control arms with sedan-spec struts, but double up on camber bolts and you should be able to get -1.8" of camber... that and a roll should clear 225's, but that's all just speculation since I've never been low.

Anyway, I really like that rear diffuser on a wagon.

cusco sells the whole kit with the subframe brace and the diffuser and the hardware for like 200 bucks i think i got mine from gruppe-s and if not there then i got it from flatironstuning.com

You just want a change? Whats wrong with what you have? I don't think the morettes are that much different really. I vote either keep what you have or go EDM (so your beam pattern is correct). I know of a couple places that are able to get EDM's again. I'm currently saving up for those.

Well you said yourself you thought the morettes are badass. So go with your gut. Like I mentioned earlier... JDM is made for right hand drive... and they will not completely adjust for proper left hand lighting. You'll be blinding people as well as not being able to see too good yourself. EDM is hard to come by... Mine are shiping from Israel! Its going to be about a month before I see them.

Not sure about that bro... All the EDM's i've found as of late...are NON-HID... The HID are way more expensive. For example the HID JDMS are over 2300 bucks. I only paid 1100 for mine w/harness's. They are non-hid.

They have V7 HID's for really cheap, and I've read decent reviews about them, but don't know. That's sooo cheap.

C. stick with my new setup for awhile and wait until my motor and trans go then do a full sti powertrain swap with a 30r and supporting mods

as long as u go 04-06...u dont need the wiring harness...its plug and play...just get a avcs wiring kit from ia performance and ur set to go.

YUP...the only reason why i say those years is because...if u got an 07 sti, u would practically have to the do the same stuff as wat troll did...as far as clusters...im not too knowledgable about them.

i didnt realize it until recently, but you have to do the same work for 04-06 sti to do a complete swap into a wrx. the 07 uses different wiring than the 04-06 but its not any easier or more difficult. the difference is in the DBW setup mostly, and also the sensors in the heads, and then the dccd sensors and controls. it is a good amount more work to do the full wiring swap but i'm all about doing things 100% and not taking shortcuts.
you do, however, have the option if getting just an sti engine, using your wrx intake manifold and throttle body assembly, and keeping your wrx wiring and ecu. you will not be able to use AVCS if you do that which is kind of a bummer but it is cheaper and easier to do the swap.
i say do the whole damn thing... just get down to business and do it right and make a badass sti wagon :)
i actually do have a line on a complete swap right now from an 06 sti, but it probably wont last long. not sure if you're ready to move on it now or not but if so we can talk about it. if not then i can try to source something down the road.

on another note my girlfriends parents might let me use they're huge 2 car garage for the swap the only problem is she lives with her parents in a 55 and over community and noise violations are silly

so im not sure about that but im still trying to get in touch with my friend mike with the lift and even bigger 3+ car garage and looking at some local shops to rent space or something

17x8 torques in 5x114 +48 would fit perfectly for the swap... if they're +35 they're not made for a subie and will most definitely give you fender clearance issues.
and as for your current wheels... no matter the width or offset, the only wya to know for sure if they'll clear the brembos is to physically fit them and see if they hit or not.

17x8 +35 on wagon fenders? It MIGHT fit, with some fender rolling.

I know with wrx fenders we are up to 18x9.5 +35 with 265/35's....

Some kids even have 275s.

+1 I had 17x8 torques and they cleared my 4 pots no problem. They should clear brembos no problem.

o2sys's car. He got hit motor, tranny, and hub swap from Nitro don too. Motor is an 06, tranny is an 04, and hubs and brakes are 07. :rofl:

Jeff had 17x8 +48 dude, the +35 will stick out about 1/2 inch more. You can probably do it with some camber and a nice fender roll.

yeah if they're 17x7 its very unlikely that they'll clear the brembos... i dont know of any 7" wide wheel that does clear brembos.

just start checking nasioc or wherever for 5x114 rotas... a good number of them clear brembos now and they arent too expensive even with tires. actually there was a super cheap set on craigslist a while back that wasnt selling... i was tempted myself. let me check if they're still there...

edit: gone. but you can find pretty cheap rota setups every now and again...

dude. do not but +35 offset wheels. k? good. they are not meant for subarus and they're not good for your wheel bearings or the performance of your suspension, they will also stick out farther than your fenders and almost definitely not be driveable without serious fender work. have i made my point yet?

you will find rotas with tires for 500 or less that are proper fitment (usually 17x8 5x114.3 +48) and they'll look great and fit without any issues. its cool... no rush, we'll get it done.
