What's up guys.

Got dragged in here by Jon with the Supercharged 350Z. I'm currently parting out my Celica GT-S, putting it back to stock so I can sell it off and put the money to the NSX. Got a '92 Acura NSX on the way, planning to go Widebody ASAP. Jon harrasses me about that and not going with Forced Induction right away.. but Wider is better, for right now.

Anyways, Hi.

Anyways, Hi.

Life begins at 400+ wheel HP.... :supz: but i do admit, that widebody is gonna look crazy sick in my mirrors...

It's okay. You will have to look through both of your side mirror's too, just to see me completely. I'll be like 5" WIDER than your rear view mirror can handle.. 5" BOTH WAYS. :partyman:

Sure do. If I decide not to do the swap myself Matt will get my car on a flat bed and send it back to me with an extra gear and 60 more ponies.

I've always been a fan of a good modified MR2. Especially after they've had some body work, not to impressed with the stock look, but after a kit, they look insane. Those are a 3rd Generation MR2 right? They should have came stock with a 2ZZ, at least a detuned 170HP AT LEAST, instead of these Corolla's. :thumbdow: That was a mistake on Toyota's part. The 2ZZ responds beautifully to modification. I remember when I first got my GT-S, first thing I did was research into which intake/exhaust combination performed the best - then I got my hands on that combo (Injen CAI/TRD Axle-Back), but the Greddy EVO2 Exhaust dyno'd .02wHP under the TRD, but the Greddy looks ALOT better, so I bought a Greddy instead and wasted .02wHP :supz:. Once I got them on and reset the ECU, the difference was incredibly noticeable. Then got my hands on an APEXi PFC, had it tuned - tried to put the Celica on slimfast, and it started surprising a good amount of people. I was really close to buying the C2 Power Turbo Kit, but it just happened that an NSX became extremely available right while I was sitting on extra cash - it took me some time to realize it, but any smart man would get on the NSX Bandwagon over a Celica. The only thing that was irritating was that none of the Supercharger's put out enough HP to compensate for how expensive they were... not a supporter. MWR has that 11.6s Turbo MR2 though, that's nasty. I'll always be a diehard Toyota fan.

Don't mis-shift on that transmission once, i've blown the transmission casing twice from mis-shifting - and both times I got the clutch in even before it got to/above the 8400RPM redline. First time they did a horrible weld fix, and the second time I demanded a new transmission.

Hell yeah the 3rd gen MR2 is a fantastic car with a few changes. The 2ZZ is a great motor as well so they will fit together nicely. :) I drove a 6sp/2ZZ spyder a few weeks ago and I know what you mean about the shift gate. Very tight and I could see it being easy to mis shift. MWR made a custom header for a spyderchat member that together with the PFC and intake made 194 whp on pump gas. Pretty impressive in such a light car. Should be a blast.

Good luck on the new project. Sounds quite wide. :)
