Well I just picked up a new daily driver this past weekend. A silver 2000 a4 1.8t quattro (auto) with the winter package. The car was purchased to be a sporty, comfortable, and clean daily driver. I say I am not going to go crazy modding it but I know I will have to at least throw in a chip and an exhaust. So far so good, just doing a lot of reading up on the car and trying to learn as much as possible about these crazy european cars... :D Definitely a lot different driving a stock automatic vs. my caged talon!
I will bring it out to a meet when the talon isn't running.

Chip is definitely the way to go. Call AWE. +47hp and +80lb/ft at the wheels for 495 bucks.

All over it... If I wasn't in the middle of a rebuild I would have picked it up already. Thanks for the tip! I definitely need the tip chip as well, this lag in between gears is killing me. I'll probably do both at the same time.

Thanks man, I'll have to give them a call and see what they offer. I am still researching all the different options looking for the best one. The stock hp and tq ratings just aren't going to cut it for very long. :(

now i know i have coilovers on my daily driver, but its because i dont have the luxury of having two cars... one for comfort and daily transport and one for racing and fun. i dont think coilovers are on his list of things to get...
i do agree with the chip though, and maybe skip the exhaust and put that money into the dsm. remember its your daily driver and the slower it is the faster it will make your dsm toy seem ;)

but if you get bored with it, talk to AWE about their GT28RS kit that is in development. It puts down some good power.
