Lets see were to beging? Well I have wanted ay DSM since 95 when I first saw a 2g Eclipse back when I didn't even know what a turbo was :lol:. From then on I have always wanted one, but I all ways had bad timing when I found one. Then after I totaled my baby at the time 03 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V. After looking for a few months and no AWD manual 2g . Then I found one in Philly in decet shape, so I picked it up and the fun began. I got it home and started going over the car to see what I need to fix before I started modding the car. To my suprise the only thing I found was a leaking side seal on the rear diff, we until I got to the turbo. What did I find? Shaft play in and out. So my options swap the turbo with a stock turbo or upgrade the turbo. I just happend to hav a few pats laying in he shed, like a 57trim T3/TO4E, HKS SSV, Tial 38mm WG and a SAFC II form the Spec V. I went with parts on hand so I bought all the suporting parts and waited 4 months for all the parts to finally come in. Now it's the middle of March and the car is at a freinds house in Elkton MD. It ended up taking me two weekends to tear the car down and put it back together. The car ran pretty well or a while running 12.655 @ 109.23. Then the dreaded crank walk(thrust bearing failure) it started as a slipping clutch and kinda ended that way too, when I free reved when the clutch moved away from the flywheel and I spun the #3 rod brearing. So the car sat for a while until I could buy a motor and find time to install it. I finally got that done two weeks ago. After I drove it the 2.5hr drive home for my mom's house were I did the swap, I find the hard coolant line that feeds the oil cooler has a hole in it. So she sits waiting on a new line. Whish is fine with me for now, because I'm getting to do some little things I've wanted to do, but didn't have the time. any way here some pics of the time line of the car.

Yeah, those new wheels (which I like) make the wheel gap look enormous. :-p

eric right? i met you down at cecil. car is lookin good (well the old pics) i'm sure the new motor is gonna be a beast. I've done some "upgrading" since the last time i saw you. just a b16g, act2600, fmic, i put down 241whp 225 wtq completely untuned. what kinda #'s do you think your talon would put down? Well over 300whp i assume

Yea that was me. I'm not sure how much power I'll be making once I turn the boost back up to 23-26psi depending on when I either start knocking or go above 85-90% duty cycle on my 650's, but I'm hoping 430 awhp. We'll see one I start tuning her, once every thing is broken in.

Well a quick update on the Talon, she is broken once again. The turbo is shot most likely due to oil starvtion when the 7 bolt let go. I'm loking at the scm12e as a replacement, but that will be some time after the holidays.

It's not worth rebuilding both the tubine and compressor housngs would need to be replaced along with both wheels. So it's just cheaper to replace the whole thing.
